The Ryzen you got is AMAZING, and 16 gigs of RAM* is what most people got, it's fine. You gpu is what's holding your build back. But I know you might not have the cash or the desire to upgrade, I get it, personally. Just know, upgrading your card WILL result in much, much better performance.

How does "card" remind you of a landscape!? Especially when were talking about computer specs!

In my native language, these two words are synonymous)

Oh... My native language is English and graphics cards and maps don't use the same word. So I thought you were talking about graphics cards and not the game maps.

WCUSA is the most intensive (for me) map in the game.

That's what I mean, the wcusa update may have affected performance in your particular case, try to compare performance between 0.31 and 0.32 for example on UTAH

WCUSA always ran crappy vs the other maps. (except maybe Italy)

My game in Vulkan always crash when I open world editor. I press the F11, then the ,,loading world editor" sign starts flickering and it goes forever, until I restart the game.:p

Please report issues only from BeamNG 0.32.1 from now on :)

There are a few bug fixes for Vulkan:
    • Fixed rare crash when using Vulkan renderer
    • Improved behaviour of Vulkan renderer during OOM situations (out of memory)
    • Fixed crash when using Vulkan renderer after minimizing the game window

Happy to report that this hotfix version is the first one since a few versions that runs on my system without causing a seizure (the white and black only pixles, flickering intensly) and I believe the first version overall that doesn't crash.
Performance on West Coast USA is now up to Direct3D, about 45 fps. There are just some small stutters every so often, probably due to loading some stuff, but absolutely playable. Spawning traffic bogs Vulkan down below 20 tho.

    My specs: I5-8400, GTX 1060 3GB, 16GB RAM, Windows 10

    {This only happens in Vulkan}
After a few minutes of playing in career mode, the game does this. I can still hear audio when this happens so it's not like the whole game freezes only the rendering bugs out.
    My PC:
    -3700x
    -6800XT
    -32GB DDR4 @3200
    -Only SSDs
    -Latest AMD driver (24.4.1)
-Disabled every AMD feature that could cause this (frame generation, boost.. etc)

Also it only seems to happen around this area, I haven't had it happen at any other place so far and it seems to just happen when I get to the city.

This happens in windowed and fullscreen, fullscreen borderless, I was playing in windowed in this screenshot.

I bought the game today and was able to play a bit in DX mode to tweak my wheel settings, however, the game won't launch in Vulkan with an error
    BeamNG.drive 0.32.1.0 0x00000001
I've sent a report with my email. Support ID: 177672

If I launch the game with Vulkan safe mode, a different error shows up:
    BeamNG.drive 0.32.1.0 0xC0000005 STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION

I've verified the integrity with both Steam and the support tool. I've removed all the mods (2 mods that I installed for testing).

I intend to play solely in VR so Vulkan is a must, too bad it's not launching...
I'm on the latest Win11 with the latest Nvidia driver.

    My PC:
    -Intel i5-12400
    -Nvidia 4070 Ti Super 16GB
    -32GB DDR4 @3467Mhz
    -NVME SSD
    -Latest Nvidia driver (552.22)

Oh you are having the same problem as me and your pc specs are similar to mine.

I have the same issue, but it happens on the custom map Canyon Rush. Exact same behavior though.

    R7 5800X
    RX 6900 XT
    32GB DDR4 + 3200
    NVMe Gen 4 SSD's.
    AMD's latest driver, 24.5.1

Really upsetting, because I primarily play in VR, and without Vulkan, no VR. To be clear, it's only happened to me in Canyon Rush, but it flat out does it on load, regardless of location.

If you encounter the issue in multiple game sessions please test if it happens when you run the game with -gfx vk debug launch argument. If you will be able to reproduce the issue, please attach beamng.log in this thread.

Are there any fixes in the works for low-end AMD PCs? Because my low-end system still runs Wcusa default spawn at 40+ fps in the normal branch, and 15 at the default spawn in Vulcan. (tested in safe mode and a cleared cache)

Sweet. At this point, it looks like Vulcan is going to be more reserved for higher-end pcs. :p Hopefully this changes.

Wait a second, 16 GB of ram isn't enough when 8 GB is the minimum? What crazy world have I just discovered...

I'm talking about GPU memory. If you want to try West Coast USA on Vulkan I recommend using Low texture settings. It's what I'm doing on my RTX 4060 Laptop to avoid weird slowdowns for now.
