I'm not pinpointing any specific day of this month as the release of the next update until we get an in-game picture of the next vehicle. That often indicates that the next update will be in a week from the preview of the next vehicle.

OT: WCA is looking gorgeous! Really, this has to be the most beautiful map of all time, and the most diverse, as well. I hope that I can get at least 10 FPS from my laptop with this map on lowest with a Pigeon, just to experience the beauty of Belasco and the motorsports park.

Ever since I first set eyes on Riverside Expressway I hoped someday a map of this sort would be crafted. My dreams have come true
and I can't wait to get my hands on it. BeamNG has two extremely talented environment artists that cover a wonderful range of
atmospheres. WCUSA and Italy are going to raise the bar once again. You guys are always inspiring!

Just out of curiosity, has anybody managed to identify the music used in the preview video? Is it one of Gabester's existing tracks, was it composed specifically for the video, or did it come from somewhere else entirely?

 

I wasn't able to but it sounded familiar

 

Here’s what I’m hoping for:

That when the map gets realesed, there are lower end pc versions. Like Monmouth valley. Because I’m not going to be able to run full screen on custom graphics (texture quality high, everything else low, and I have to disable shadows to get a 25 fps gain) and play the game smoothly.

But otherwise, looking great!

P.S- If there is not a lower end pc version

I would expect most of the features that they have already shown working in the micro blogs to be released with the update, along with maybe some West Coast themed configs and skins?

 

What configurations in the micro blogs? All we've seen so far are drivetrain features, and we know that developers often test them in a vehicle they have no interest in actually implementing the features in. For example, the Grand Marshal was used to test lockable differentials.

It's anybody's guess which configs may wind up with the new drivetrain features, and if any new ones will be added in the update. Most updates generally contain at least one new skin or config, so it's a safe bet to assume that something new will be present.

That's a pretty popular theory right now. With all the player discussion about it, I'd be very surprised if there weren't Belasco-exclusive police skins for the Grand Marshal, the Roamer, the Burnside Special, and (possibly) the Bluebuck.

There's a pretty good player-excitement-to-developer-effort ratio on four skins.

 

I doubt the burnside will be getting a new skin, as for the the Bluebuck. From info I have heard that the bluebuck is either on hold or extremely slowed down. So I doubt for now, I would not hold out for any bluebuck skins of any kind. But the devs have surprised us before.

 

What sort of info, and from what source?

 

He's the one in charge of the bluebuck.

 

I am excited about the launch of the map, but it could do better with an airport.
