I was just wondering what some of your guys' hobbies are. Mine are NASCAR, watching and predicting the weather, playing racing games and guitar.
well my hobby is computers. I have taught myself everything i know about them. i have taken them apart and reassembled them. i also collect them. I currently have collected 4 vintage macs/apples(powermac g5, powermac cube g4, apple iic and macintosh classic ii) and other assorted windows machines(from dos to windows vista)
I play guitar/bass guitar, I fix up old things, I collect knives, of course i love guns, videogames, and I also volunteer at an online suicide hotline type of thing
Gaming (Including Sim Racing) and building PC's I guess... I use to go mountian biking a lot as my area has loads of awesome routes but I don't anymore.
Beamng.... I've been sitting around learn how jbeams and all the neat stuff works but.... not gona be putting any of it to use till i know everything i need to know
I do quite a bit of Art, digital and by hand with pen and paper. I also do a load of BMX as i live fairly close to a large skate park (biggest indoor one in Europe i beleive). Also do a lot of charitable stuff including some ongoing stuff out in Kenya. Last went out about 4 months ago working in the slums and poorer areas. Feels pretty rewarding when you see it actually making a difference.
Amazing! I never knew you could do THAT with lego! I like building things too... The Lathe and Mill where completely rebuild from the ground up. Stripped of paint, and rebuilt. Once they where done, the CNC was built. Then, the 3D printer was built from that... and now designing my own CoreXY 3D Printer.
Gaming (which is slowly being weened out). I've been playing bass guitar for a couple years now and I'm at the stage where I can learn to play stuff as hard as Megadeth and Iron Maiden but some of that stuff is just way too fast for a guy who plays about an hour a day. Also got into writing my own music/beats with FL Studios and writing basslines to those beats. This year I've taken up gardening; it started off as a favour for transforming my parents overgrown veggie garden into something a little more approachable and inviting. The only TV/movies I watch are on netflix which is when I go to bed (sleep mode for the TV and PS3) otherwise there's no cable/satellite in this household but that's OK because TV is strongly stupefying. Photography is a little something I delve into on rare occasions (and not those bullshit smartphone photos that plague Facebook and Instagram, I've got a thousand dollar DSLR and a selection of nice lenses!). Cooking/baking is something I enjoy too. I am an avid foodie! So many things I still want to learn too. I hope to have a nice workshop for carpentry when I buy my own home.
-I love to drive my car -Fix electronics. Not great at it, but I've recapped motherboards, fixed a few stereos, and fixed my friends retro tape deck. -build audio stuff. Just spliced like 20 wires together to put a new head unit in my car yesterday. I've got 4 12 inch subwoofers in two home made boxes in my house, usually they are at my friend's place he rents out where me and a bunch of people do lots of fun stuff, and once i brought them to a party and had a hella loud ass house. -drifting. driving sideways is one of the best feelings -building computers. Most of my computers are ghetto ass rigs and old because i'm too poor to be building new ones all the time. The computer i use daily is in the sig.
