Just picked up this Hyundai i20 N from the dealer! It's a big jump for me going from 75 hp to a hair over 200, i can't drive it hard until it's broken in but i can already tell she's not slow. The steering is very direct but not too light like modern cars tend to have; the suspensions have variable stiffness depending on the drive mode, they absorb bumps alright in Normal but they get pretty hard in N mode; the clutch is nice and smooth, the gearstick has a short throw; the exhaust sounds great and i can silence it by just closing the valve (but the burbles stay ); and my favourite feature of the car, the auto rev match works flawlessly, it's so nice to be able to go down the gears without worrying about slipping the clutch or rev matching myself (although i'll learn to rev match it anyway for the sake of it), i think more cars should have this feature because it's great even in normal traffic I honestly can't wait to go on a few drives with it!!
Nice! Hyundai has a lot of sporty small cars in other countries. Too bad we have to deal with crossovers and SUVs
I am very proud to say, at just 19, I bought a Porsche 911 GTS!!! --- Post updated --- Was going for the 911 GT3RS, however, because I don't have a longtime history with Porsche, I can only buy the 911 GTS, which is really scummy. Was very inspired by a close family member of mine to get my own. And, before anyone asks, yes, my Honda is still 1000x better, so never feel left out if you're not in the position to buy one of these, as a 2003 Honda Accord will always feel faster, even if it isn't --- Post updated --- What a friendly car. Tell us how it is, I've been dying to know how those new N series Hyundais are. From everything I've heard, they're quite fast and fun. Looks really good, too, love the color you went with.
Ya, no cap lmao. No kizzy as the kids say. --- Post updated --- Drove it right off the lot. The people at Porsche made it a whole thing cuz they've had it in their showroom for such a long time. I got it a few weeks ago, only now did I decide to post about it. I didn't wanna be a douche or an ass about it so I waited, but I'm just very proud of it.
Nope, i just left it to my mom, she'd borrow it all the time anyway so now she doesn't have to ask anymore --- Post updated --- Thanks! I'll try make a couple posts in the future, now i can already say: if you like listening to music then go for the optional Techno pack (larger touchscreen and Bose speakers) because i didn't (so i got my car in 3 weeks rather than 2 months) and the standard speakers are ass, but that's no big deal for me personally --- Post updated --- Almost forgot... damn that 911 looks great!! Love the color
I have acquired a 2008 Renault Clio Storia. Previous owner put a lot of money into it over the last few years, and I got it for very cheap, so I now have a proper daily driver. Images coming soon, I guess.
Wow! Incredible car, congrats. Probably my dream car is the 992, especially the GTS, which looks awesome!
Congrats mate, that is a great way to spend the money. I'm not into supercars at all, i will probably drive japanese and italian 80s-90s souped up econoboxes for the rest of my life but the porsche is that one exception. To be specific the gt3rs. Now i wonder, i had no idea porsche had a ferrari like way to sell those higher trims. Did they basically tell you you are not porsche enough for them or what? I mean you usually wouldn't want to turn away 200-300k worth of sale. In any case some hardcore porsche people will argue that the gts and turbo are the better choice since the gt3rs only makes sense on the track at which point you may as well buy the cup car for 1/3 of the price.
thanks so much, it means a lot and ya the GTS does look awesome, a really timeless car Yea they essentially said I'd have to buy at least a Taycan before they were willing to even "consider" letting me purchase the GT3RS, which genuinely made me laugh when I heard it, and then I realized they weren't joking... lmao. But ya it was more or less "you're not Porsche enough for us, shoo!" And, to be honest I totally agree with that last bit. I think the GTS is a better buy. Yes the GT3RS is like the fastest street legal Porsche ever made or whatever but that's just marketing. The GTS is more than enough, especially since I rolled onto the lot in a Honda Accord, so it felt like a Bugatti Veyron on the drive home. It's really not that much of a downgrade unless you own a ton of fast cars and go to the track on a regular basis. Plus it's made more for comfort and stuff and it's easier to maintain so it's totally better if you're someone like me.
Was looking at my old forum Posts and i found this. My fist car. I lost all my pictures if ky thunderbird on my old phone. So i was glad to find this
Interesting, i had no idea. Well you did the right thing, wish you lots of fun. Do you plan on driving on the track or otherwise driving it hard? I think first thing i would want to do would be taking it to some twisty mountain road, i could pass the border and get to the german autobahn in around 30 minutes but that's no fun, that thing can turn
Thank you! It really does mean a lot :3 Well I don't currently have any plans to take it onto a track, as there's a bit of a break-in period before I can go ham on it. I am awfully close to a track, though, one NASCAR uses, which I could pay to use their road course. And, you had the same idea I did. On the drive home I was driving down very twisty country backroads, near where I live. Not a soul in sight, just the sound of the engine with the wind in my hair. Quite the experience for sure. And oh boy does it turn... Much better than my Honda, that's for true.
