Last time I posted on this thread was like 4 or 5 years ago I think so it’s been a quick minute.. My profile picture has cars I no longer own. Buick’s been gone for 3 years or so and the Pontiac since June. Now I own a 1985 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer and I’m looking for a new daily.
Just discovered this thread Used to drive a 1986 Ford Mustang until it got totaled by an idiot in an Explorer blowing by a stop sign. It was a good few years, pretty sad to see it go, but I probably will need something a little more modern next. In the meantime, my rental car is pretty slick.
The seller stopped responding to me. Looking at this tomorrow instead. I know, I know, who likes 10th-gen F150s, but whatever. It’s a good truck for the price of $3,800.
Still shopping for my replacement car, but just got this truck for $800. Pretty good deal for a low rust pretty complete interior workhorse. The guy said it ran 5 years ago, still looking for what needs replacing.
Owned this 1.9 dCI 130 hp Renault Mégane II for 18 years...until last week I lost conciousness for a few seconds in the highway, crashing into the guardrail at 118 km/h... Damage doesn't look that bad, but the side airbags (both curtain and seat) were deployed, so it will not pass next ITV (spanish MOT) and fixing it is just not worth it, it's dead. So...had to find a replacement sooner than expected, been looking for a while, and since I needed more space for my family (2 adults, a kid and a dog cramped in a hatchback was no longer funny) I went for...a SUV. Had to, but I don't regret it. Looks nice, has the space I need, has a ton of equipment I didn't had before (and would have prevented my crash...) so it's a win for me. 2023 Renault Austral 1.2 E-Tech, full hybrid, with a total output of 200 cv. Not an exciting machine no matter how you look at it, but considering how things are nowadays, I think it's a safe and solid choice for our needs...I just hope it last as long as the Mégane.
Sticking with Renaults uh ? Quite unfortunate you had to find a replacement VERY Quick , as you could've probably wait for the Renault 4
I was looking at a few brands and models, in fact my first option was a Hyundai Tucson, but this car found my way at a reasonable price, so that was it...but yeah, I'm more than fine keeping with Renaults.
Rental car time ran out so it was time to make a decision. Eventually negotiated with this guy to sell this to me for $8,250. Pretty good truck, just over 100k miles, clean, good motor, and just what I need for weekend stuff. Even got the custom radio in the deal too.
datsun laurel 2.8D, but they are pretty much the same car other than the body. bought it off an old finnish man for 1600 euro. the only thing i have really done to it is fit s13 coilovers with a bit of modification. going turbo and wider wheels next when i have time to work on it
Factory LS swap1!1!1 2000 Chev Silverado LS, in single cab long bed form. I haven’t actually bought it, but we agreed on a deal. I know the seller, anyways.
state of the fleet as of september '24 The mighty 406 is still top of the pile doing all the hard yards and now sporting a cool 200k miles The Starlet celebrates 3 years in my ownership and hasn't had much change in condition My rover has been brought back to life and lives on under a friend's ownership And the 106 is still lying around with brakes needing work so it's gone nowhere see above for rover's previous condition
