For that price, maybe a used i5-6400 or just keep what you have.
LGA 1151 is a socket, not a chipset. A chipset would be like Z97, X58 etc
More and more games are starting to take advantage of 4 cores. I would advise a quad-core CPU at minimum. Even for games that do not, the extra cores reduce load on each core from background tasks, freeing up CPU cycles for the game.

My crypto miner has a Celeron G3930 and my other miner has a Athlon X220 or something like that haha. They serve their purpose.
My laptop is the worst. It has a Core Duo T2050. Yes, not Core 2 Duo, but Core Duo Boots Windows 7, Lubuntu, and Kali Linux.
