I think he meant the MOT, not the vehicle.

Figured out my problem with my Subaru, it was a lot simpler than I expected.

The problem was that the connection to the starter motor had broken its plastic connection piece, something I overlooked until I tried to test the voltage going to the connection and the connector simply fell off.

*In order, Female connection, zoomed out location, male connection on back of starter.

My solution was something I am not sure whether I should be proud of or ashamed of.. but I duct taped the connection back together, "until I can get a new part".
or when it needs new tape...

    At least it works now.

Yesterday I used duct tape to fix a boost leak. A hose is kind of a duct, right?

How about fixing a rusted gas tank with duct tape. Because a gas tank is also like a duct. . .

I've personally seen duct tape hold 50 PSI of boost.

I wouldn't recommend it, but it works in a pinch.

2 weeks ago after my whip decided it had enough clutch dumping, speedbump jumping and other abuse for the past 12000km and spit out all it's transmission guts :D .

I discovered I have a large amount of blow by, and yes that air filter adds no hp, I just like the noise it makes

Working out the little issues the Rabbit has, along with creating a parts list of things I have to pick up.

    Today's list of shit done:
    - Fix the hoodlatch (the rivets for the latch base broke)
    - Replace the intake boot
    - Replace the heatercore valve
    - Replace the passenger side window crank
    - Drain the 2 year old gas

    Still to do:
    - Motor mounts
    - Air filter
    - Valve cover gasket
    - Clean up the Valve cover and timing cover
    - Timing belt
    - Plates/rego
    - Insure it
? Possibly mount my Hella 500 driving lights ?

    Nice!

If you ever film another video where you really step on it, make sure to post it here. Even a pickup truck V8 sounds absolutely amazing at WOT.

You can't make an LS sound bad. 4.8 or 5.3?

My silver Dodge with a 360 still has the factory exhaust, besides the muffler removed, just with a piece of tube welded in, still with the factory manifolds, cat, and tail pipe.

The Blazer didn't have any exhaust, and was way out of time in this video, just manifolds, Y-pipe, and that was it. It sounded like a derby car.
Too bad the 305 still was only making about 90 HP.

Also: who here thinks that Hyundai and Kia deserve more respect from the tuning scene? Just one example: the Hyundai Tiburon. Long after V6/FF compacts had sadly gone out of style, Hyundai still built one. It loses some of its luster when you realize it had about the same power as the Probes Ford was building for a similar market years before, but that may not be the whole story as Top Gear loved the thing when it came out. Then consider the availability of the (apparently) manual-only Veloster R-spec. They may not be building "V6 interceptors" anymore, but they built the last one, and the Veloster R-spec plus some quick, manual-available Kias prove that the Korean car barons are still committed to doing sport compacts right (also note that none of these cars are so far removed from the base models that they're pretty much entirely different models a la Focus RS). Then consider the Genesis coupe and their V8 Genesis luxury sedans. Kia even still makes a compact coupe (albeit not one I see many of around, sadly) long after even Detroit has gone to various combinations of sedans and hatchbacks, though admittedly Honda from Japan still does this too.

A decade behind everyone else they may be, but it always seems to be in a good way. So why aren't we seeing and hearing more about them?
