(There's stuff write in German on it)

I should look in the original car brochure...But my father don't know where he left it.

    Try this out: http://museum.cabby-info.com/paintcolors.htm

It should be one of the colors listed as silver. You can also try and decode the VIN, it might be a part of it.

The thing is : there're quite a lot of colors that looks like the one mine x)

I don't thing the color paint is in this VIN code

It's a grey with Blue-ish reflects, a metallic paint. The color was only available with the "Memphis" version

@Peterbilt might be able to help you with that. My guess would be something to do with the solenoid.

Did you replace your cables too? Being a '69 they could have gotten too corroded to carry enough power.

Next in line would be the solenoid, assuming you didn't change it with the starter, it could be too old and not making good contact.

And last would be the battery, you could just have a dead battery.

But before you do any of that, try just knocking on the starter while you have someone else try to start it.

Mounted my Hella 500s yesterday, wired them up today. I think they look pretty good. They're much brighter than my stock lights (when the caps are off that is)

Yesterday I had some fun with a fellow nb driver
    IMG_20170806_162215.jpg
And today I drove a Mehari which my boss had rented for the weekend back to her owner.

It has a really stupid seating position, with stretched arms and your legs folded up around the column. It also has this weird shifter which you have to turn and pull/push to select a gear :D. No power steering, heavy brakes and clutch etc etc. Let's say it was quite an experience.
And merging on the highway(at 8:45, rush hour) was a bit mental

Traded the rail buggy and honda helix for this:

    1993 Ford F-150 4x4 5 speed manual. 132k miles.

So far put a new exhaust, rear shocks and spark plugs on it.

I guess I never did update the Yukon situation. A couple weeks ago I pulled the oil pan, which was mostly painless, and put new rod bearings in. #6 and #7 were the only ones with any damage. #7 was definitely the source of the knock, lots of play in it. The crank was kinda scored up, but not really a whole lot I could do about it. All new bearings in, everything is nice and tight, new oil pump, new oil pan seal, and everything went back together.
Started it up, no knocks, everything sounded good. I noticed a bit of strange buzzing sort of sound coming from the oil pan though. It's gotten steadily louder as I've driven it more. It's pretty loud now. It goes away when the engine is heated up. I'm not really too worried about it, just kinda weird. Gotta be the oil pump, and it has really good oil pressure so whatever. I guess that's what I get for replacing it.
The real issue is that I'm pretty positive my fix isn't gonna last long. I got a couple of good knocks when I started it up this morning. I'm planning on pulling the engine and rebuilding it when it starts really knocking. I don't have much of a choice, I can't sell it in this condition, and it also kinda stresses me out. I need to be able to depend on this thing, and I won't be able to focus on dealing with the little things when I always have the possibility of sudden catastrophic engine failure hanging over my head.
It's the way she goes I guess. Kinda looking forward to building it. Having a brand new engine and transmission will be cool.
Video of the buzzing noise. This is from when I first noticed it, it's much louder now.

So today i wanted to mount a (quite shitty) radio for the yaris which is still better than the horrible stock thing without aux.
    DSC_0651.jpg
connected it for testing purposes, but now i'm stuck because the ebay people delivered the wrong adapter for which i'll have to wait like 2 days. :]
rear bench is full of parts now which need to get back on once the thingy is delivered

    Wednesday 3:30PM: Coilovers arrive.

    Wednesday 6:30PM: Install said Coil-overs

Wednesday 10:00PM: Initial test run (front was rubbing)

Thursday 2:00PM: Set front coils another 1/4" higher so they stop rubbing.

Friday 12:45AM: give it a full shake down, drive from country side into town to get milk.
