Which is why I fiished up with “and just a filter is still restricted by the stock intake geometry”? Coming up at 10: fuck China and fuck their brake hoses. This shit was supposed to be an OE replacement and inst compatible with the OE line nuts.
Put a transmission in the crown vic then backed out of the driveway and made use of my open diff to lay a single long line of rubber.
Yesterday, I traded my '17 Fiat Abarth a '18 Dodge Challenger. V6 with 8 speed auto transmission, All I can afford... I looked at a used '17 mustang gt 6 speed with less than 1k miles (the red mustang beside the challenger in pic).
Roadkill did a car for just that they had to replace the left rear at least 3 times during the episode OT I removed the rat's nest under the driver side seat belt retractor in the bronco
well, over the past couple weeks, I have gotten my truck road legal (temp), started driving it for the first time (over a year since the truck last moved) and I am currently putting a flex pipe on it so I can get emissions done on it. and maybe, JUST MAYBE I can get the tags for it and drive it more. so far, It's been REALLY good on the road. My truck about a year ago
Sorry this has nothing to do with this but I’m in need of help. I have a 04 Elantra that has now decided to not idle and now won’t crank at all. I have taken off the idle air control valve but the car didn’t crank.I’m also rushing due to when the battery is connected the car alarm goes off. I’m at a loss and am relying on the internet for knowledge and I’m only 13. If anyone has pointers please say something. Thanks
another update. my dad tried to get emissions for my truck yesterday (might as well have him drive it for less risk as the temp plate is past expiration) and once again, the emissions place wouldn't test it as they "couldn't shift it". SMFH, it's an old truck with a sloppy shift linkage. I have only been driving for a couple days at most (total) and I can shift the truck just fine. we'll try again tomorrow, in a different city.
My father has a modded turbo DSM, we got kicked out from our local test center because the guy there didn't know how to drive stick and could not get it to stay at 2000 RPM and they also had trouble with it because it is OBD1, thankfully it is exempt now so we can build it into a rocket
another emissions update. the truck failed. while trying to pull the plug wires off, they came apart, so I need new wires. I had my dad look at the plugs and new plugs are needed. I ain't got much money to spend. going back tomorrow to get the truck retested after I get the parts.....now that I think of it, I don't think I have enough money to get the parts, tested, and plates. *crosses fingers* also lost the power steering belt so that's fun. pics
Thanks, It would be a LOT better if they even offered a manual transmission in the V6. They don't even have it as an option. Also, I had the rear mufflers cut off and put some thrush glass packs in the place.
Today I got the engine back into my MGB after replacing the clutch, all it needs now is a fresh coat of paint and a fuel pump!
Favorit was starting to misbehave in all sorts of ways which I assumed was caused by the engine sucking in fake vacuum. Back when I bought the car this issue only revealed itself by having an uneven idle. Later on I found out the engine fired into either the intake or the exhaust during heavy engine braking. Luckily for me, my local parts store clerk was fixing Skoda carburettors on the side, so it was time to pay him a visit. He took everything apart, power washed it, blown through every single hole and crevice, set everything to spec and tuned my choke to close off at 60°C instead of the usual 90. We then went to check the ignition timing which to my surprise was all the way down at -1° while it was meant to be at 5. After tightening the plate the carb sits on, there was no vacuum leak to be heard of. Car ran like a champ on the drive home. Last thing I did was replace the vacuum advance tube that leads from the distributor into the carb. Old: New: Last items on the list are an oil change, replacing the acceleration pump on the carb (a lot of stutter during early acceleration) and setting the valve clearances.
Well ive been working on my Fiat 128 Berlina Special 1976. Only 11k kilometers on it. Mounted Carb,Air box and exhaust manifold. Took brake drum off because it would not spin. Made a Custom panel for Oil pressure and button for the air horns that i installed. Removed all rust from hood that is why it is gray (last time i posted here was 1 and a half years ago)
