Poked the inside sill thing with a screwdriver but didn't go through anywhere, was happy. Then was told by a friend that it'll still need to be cut out and replaced most likely :'(

I hate to see stuff like this. You just get sad when you find a ton of crap just hiding in panels. :(

    I know the feeling.
    Finding hidden rust sucks.
I'm typing this as I finish up replacing my pinion seal.
    Let's hope I didn't fuck anything up.

Replaced my pinion seal successfully. That fixes my diff leak.
Which means that I'm now leak free. :D

    Audi 100% galvanised body masterrace...

They'll only rust if you live under the sea, or if you're into ratty cars.

Ah, but you see, Sweden is basically the ocean. It's bitterly cold in winter with snow falling in many parts of the country, yes? That means the roads have to be salted. Swedeluminati confirmed.

It should be Autumn over there, so lick your car in a couple months and post results.

    ;)

Well today I replaced the fuel pipe going from the tank to the carb on my bike and also accidentally learned that disconnecting a wire going from the ignition barrel to negative means you can start it without a key but you cant turn it off either.

Well, it is a tough job to be a car in Sweden when salt is free flowing on the roads in the winter. Combine that with previous careless owners and you get rust.

I replaced my trucks stereo a couple weeks ago. Yesterday I had a capacitor put in so now my subwoofers are drawing much less power from the battery, and I no longer get dimming lights if I crank up the volume.

Hmm, maybe I should get a capacitor too. Sometimes when I really crank the volume up, the stereo dies and immediately turns on again.

I replaced the reverse light switch today, so now I finally have functioning reverse lights. The switch wasn't very expensive, and it was relatively easy to access from underneath the transmission.

I love it, looks great. Just get rid of those wheels ASAP though, damn. Chrome wheels just don't work on modern cars, especially with that style.

Apart from that, once it's painted it'll look real good.

They still draw power from the battery. The difference is during the minor lulls in which the sub requires less power the capacitor charges, when power usage spikes the capacitor drains first.
In an electrically noisy system (cars are very noisy, subs are also a large load that can themselves cause noise), capacitors help reduce the noise and power loss that can be associated.

Went up the more montainous areas Friday to Saturday. This particular stretch of road me and my friend stopped next to is probably one of the best in the county.

Installed a boost gauge, and then went out for a night time drive yesterday.
