Installed some heavy streetcred. B) NRG quickrelese hub and an 270mm Broadway mirror. And I celebrated that the snow is gone.
Well, after pulling a lovely all nighter, between the hours of 1 AM and 8 AM, I got the back finished, 2 3/4 inches higher. A solid 6 and half of those hours were getting the old U-bolts off. I started on the front, but after learning that coil spring compressors are completely useless, execpt for trying to removing your fingers. so its break time.
Sent my tank off to be painted, Rhonda the Honda is going red! Also after a few months of sitting I decided to replace the battery then fill the carb bowl with some petrol and see if she would start, started on the second kick with choke and seemed to idle happily at about 2k on choke settling down to 1500 off choke just before spluttering and cutting out after using up the fuel in the carb bowl. Not far until the restoration is complete. *Could have sworn I took a pic but apparently not...*
Had to leave my car downtown :/ They forecasted 1" of snow today which is fine and manageable so they didn't cancel classes. Well. I get there and there are only like 4 kids there out of 25. So we stay until the end of class. I go outside and there is about 5" of snow on the ground so I brush my car without gloves... I made it across town but couldn't get up the hilly roads to my house so I left my car in my city center and had to get a ride back to my house... We haven't had any snow this season so I hadn't switched to my winter tires yet... Yeah. Also, saw a Volvo S80 rear end a Kia Sonata. Kia was letting someone out of a side street and the Volvo couldn't stop and rear ended him and almost crossed the lines and went head on with me. Genuine shit show out there.
someone suffered a little understeer and managed to knock the mirror off my civic. its still hanging by the wires and the motor still works so im gona epoxy that sucker back on there. i feel your pain brother.
So my dad sanded the paint of the panels ready for paint at his buddy's shop only to find a load of surface rust and filler under the crappy blue paint job, looks like poor Rhonda was dropped at some point or even crashed and probably left to sit then poorly repaired, would explain the cracked speedo/ tach housing and how rusty all the chrome was when I found her. Well now she's getting fixed up right and going back to the original red.
replaced all 8 spark plugs on my honda jazz, (its a 1.3 I-DSI) replaced oil and front brake pads, and the improvement is massive, it feels fast and the brakes are good, and its sooo quiet, on idle with the AC and fan off and all of the noise making things you can only just hear the engine, the oil was way to thick and out of manafactures specification so it was ticking a lot (valves), its like a new car!
Nice. Though I think you should remove the tape from the headlights. It sort of brings down the overall impression of the car imo.
The successor to the D series engine. We don't have the 1.3 in the state unless I'm mistaken. A nice garret gt28r turbo would give that engine a nice bit of pep.
Was only to see how it looks with that style. Removed the tape after 5mins, alone because its possible to get a ticket for that cause its illegal.
i think you have the L15a and they still use it, 120hp, not available in the UK, Honda are really badly managed in the UK as we have a market for diesel subcompacts and they give us one engine (L13a with VTEC head i think) and they axed the accord , its my mums car at the moment and when i turn 17 i will have it as my car, its an 07, we had the 1.2 I-DSI and the 1.4 (1.3) I-DSI, whereas the other countries had the 1.5 i-VTEC, nice car, just slow, link to acceleration of the older 04 model (only change was the dash and a few panels) <iframe width="420" height="315" src="" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
