I was able to build my computer without it catching on fire, and I had to make a bootable DVD for Windows 8 at midnight, since my parents didn't realize that Office was not an OS. I still need to connect the computer to the Internet, since we do not have our receiver anymore for upstairs. I will post a pic in a little bit.
Also, is it normal for there to be a bunch of leftover SATA cords from the PSU? Everything runs fine, I was just curious if there was something else I needed to plug in. And yes, I have an SSD in my computer, so there is a storage device.

we've long ago learnt that deject enjoys trolling BeamNG performance. Whether MrNiz is actually correct or not we will never know without testing, but its certainly a powerful machine, it might just do it, at any rate it should run BeamNG well.
Never have enough socks. I got about 20 pairs, that will probably only last until next tuesday, I do eat my way through socks.

Otherwise, I got some new converse all stars because I have basically trashed my other 2 pairs (actually gutted that I ripped one of them a few weeks back :(), £25 top man voucher (could do with some new trousers actually, useful), £40 in john lewis vouchers, some T Shirts, a hoody, small RC car which shall promptly be hacked (just one of the little Infrared deals, thinking about making an IR transmitter for my phone). Not seen dad yet although I know I am getting a dagu rover 5 and 4 channel motor driver from him.

He was using a GTS460. An exceptional card but not competing with the GTX 660.

Perfectly normal. My old non modular PSU had 5 SATA power lines from it. Its for people running multiple hard disks and optical drives. I had 1 used for primary hard disk (750gb), 1 for secondary (80gb, no it is not an SSD, it is a 5200rpm hard disk over a decade old, useful for screen recording purposes as it avoids disk access bottlenecks while recording and loading content at the same time) and then another for the DVD burner. Meant I had 2 left, not a problem. Leave it dangling free if you want, I personally duct taped it into the back of my unoccupied optical drive bay to keep it out the way (along with other unused cables). Just spares.

Bad luck with parents not realising that office is not an OS :p On the other hand, at least you get office. I use libre office but would kinda like to have microsoft office instead, I just can't justify £100 or however much it is they want so use libre-office, it works, just isn't as nice to use.

You mean GTS450 or GTX460 right? there was no GTX460.

I personally use an EVGA GTX460 with an overclock on my desktop PC. Physically runs stuff at least, but the 660 of course has the advantage of being *much* newer and the performance benefits that come with that :p Still, I only paid about £110 I think and that was a year or 2 ago (I did look at going newer, couldnt afford it at all).

when its built and I get a chance on it I will test it...but for now its in parts and I am planning to build it tomorrow so for now those numbers are estimates but until I test it and get the numbers in then I can prove it...its all guess work right now of what it will and will not do...

    back on topic
