So I stuck another fan on the front of my new case and plugged it into the last unused fan control switch. For some reason (Even though the fan is a 3 pin) the fan LED on the control switch doesn't light up even though it controls the fan just fine. Any thoughts as to why this is happening? (All the other LEDs work fine)
I got a calendar and GT6... Also some money, but my parents won't allow me to spend it for some reason... :|
YESH!!! I have successfully built the computer, and now it is connected to Internet. I have already tested in game, and it gets 45 FPS on Dry Rock max settings (No HDR). Also, I have to use an older mouse and my goodness, it is a ball mouse, and it's slow!
Haha, ball mice. I personally use a cyborg RAT5, but my keyboard is just some bog standard USB affair I got for £8 with shipping.
Take a look at cheaper mice on Newegg. I got my $15 Chinese gaming mouse on there. It's not that great compared to my dad's G500, but it's good for how much it cost.
I have a USB Logitech Wireless mouse, but for some reason my second USB port will not work on the front. I am also using the keyboard that came with the mouse, but this isn't that bad. I also got a wireless USB Logitech keyboard, but when I plug both in in the back, the signal gets messed up on the keyboard, and it takes forever for it to type. But right now, I am downloading my Steam games, and enjoying BeamNG to its fullest. EDIT: Okay, I guess since my PC updated, my keyboard and mouse, the wireless ones, can work in unison without super lag.
i got a gaming computer for both my birthday(wich is one week before christmas) and christmas, tho i paid half of it. specs: amd fx-8320 8 cores at 4.0 GHz, MSI GTX770 2GB, 2x corsair 4GB ddr3 1600mhz (8GB RAM), on a 970A-G43 motherboard. windows 7 home premium 64-bit, 1TB hard drive , all in a cooler master 430 elite WIT SHINY BLUE LIGHTZ and a logitech G27 wheel wich i also paid alot on... i also got richard burns rally wich is amazingly fun. and thats about it.
With the motherboard did you get a driver disk and did you actually install it? That could explain why USB suddenly works after update.
Yes, that is what I did. I think that also explains why the monitor set to the correct resolution. There were only three resolutions at first and none of them worked. Also, when I first started up my computer, I never realized that my monitor wasn't working because I had to have it plugged into the graphics card.
Yeah, in general it helps to plug the display into the primary GPU No harm done at least. My general order is install OS, reboot, install motherboard CD, reboot, install GPU drivers, reboot, install any peripheral drivers, reboot and then set windows update going. Alot of reboots and they probably aren't all that useful, but I do it anyway.
Well, this was my first computer that I have built, and all I really knew before was what parts were, what they did, and where they went on the motherboard. I am technically a noob, but I am kind of experienced.
