I actually went to buy one but there were none in stock. We didn't want to wait so GTX 960 it is. I'm very happy with the performance, always been a nvidia fan.
I sent it back to dell so they could replace the charger port that broke because it was terribly designed. pls ignore watermarks pls The little pins inside the port bend and then the computer doesn't recognize the charger and doesn't let it charge. This is a well documented problem, although Dell still hasn't made much changes to the Inspiron lineup. I had just resorted to sticking a pencil in there until the pins bent back, but then one of them snapped off... It then arrives at the factory and they call us and tell us that the whole laptop is destroyed. The computer was basically snapped in half. Now we gotta pay for that too. IT WAS JUST A SIMPLE WELDING JOB DELL
Could you not do that with the text size? Please? OT: That charger plug is extremely old. AFAIK it has been over 10 years since they've used a charging port with more than just a central pin. Just letting you know.
I know. Dell hasn't really changed it much since the original inspiron. But my computer is different from all of the other ones because it has a touchscreen and 16gb of ram for some reason. I literally can not find the model of the computer. I think that Costco or Bj's or wherever we bought it from messed around with it a bit and swapped in some better parts but idk.
Speaking of Dell, I recently got a new Dell XPS 13 for my school work. It's a really nice laptop, so far, and I think it was worth buying this while it was $300+ off. Also got a dbrand skin to make it a little better.
There was only one slight problem that I had with the Dell xps. When I got the laptop, I had to update all the driver, and install the latest bios. This wasn't really a big problem for me, but I see people complaining that there are problems with the laptop, like the trackpad, or the wifi, but they never try to update anything because they don't know how. That is one thing that Dell has to improve on.
Sure. If I bought a laptop I'd definitely want it to be more or less up to date. The biggest problem with this is that Dell isn't even the only manufacturer who doesn't seem to get it. Why does the trackpad go nuts with an old BIOS anyway?
I bought the gtx from a friend of mine, he sold it to me for a good price, and the gtx has imo plenty of power for beamNG
