I like ford they are nice.
I want to punch my friend every time he talks crap about them (he's a Chevy Fanboy)
The aluminum prototype f-150 burnt to the round on a test run. Once a truck no a pile of metal the size of a crawler tire

My dad owns a 2002 Ford Explorer, the transmission is shot on it though. But otherwise it's an awesome vechical to storm chase in.(In my opinion)

Ranger is good. Everything else.. Depends I guess.

My grandpa's '13 Fiesta ST was a fun car. Then their Escape (The only manual crossover I've ever driven) wasn't that good, really. Don't like most of their bigger trucks either.

Who would insult Ford so badly. Its an American car. People should at least show SOME respect.

Any car can. It's just a matter of leaking fuel getting ignited.

Well, Ford made the best trucks. Now they lost my respect with the aluminium beds. If you dent a steel panel, you can just buff it out. If you dent aluminium, it cracks and a repair is expensive.

Aluminium has its place (eg. sports cars), but utility vehicles should stay with good ol' steel.

aluminium is less prone to crack than steel... Its actually a softer metal that bends far more readily than steel and is alot less brittle. Does mean you're more likely to dent your aluminium bed, but it wont crack, it will pop back more easily.

Yeah, but with modern rustproofing this hardly makes a difference.

On the other hand, it is easier to repair or find a shop that repairs aluminium. And while steel can be welded by practically anyone, anywhere, welding aluminium requires special training and enviroment.

But it can corrode, e.g. by contact with iron. (after some years)

Fun fact: I know a person who was driving their truck down the highway, only to have it ignite and then burn on the side of the highway. They happened to be driving a Ford.
