The first generation Capri was introduced in 1961. The first Mustang was released in August 1964, with a development period of 18 months according to Wiki, putting its first conception around February 1963. The Capri is older.

 

Search ford capri on google and I find quite a few results all backing my point, no mustang no capri

And reading the Wikipedia page, the capri before the mustang wasn't its own model, it was instead a SUB-model of vehicle (like the gt500 is a sub-model of the mustang) and that the first ford capri to be its own model (the MK1) was in fact made because of the success of the mustang in northern america

Still couldn't care less about mustangs, We have them over here evey now and again and they are just boxy plastic pieces of shit, They make the falcon look like it's a quality BMW or mecedies...

 

That sounds like a corvette, not a mustang :/

been in an 05 one, was a lot of plastic on the interior and exterior. Solid plastic though, not corvette flimsy shit plastic.

425 horsepower or not, it is still ugly.

 

It looks like an Aston Martin and a Hyundai Tiburon had a baby.

 

I much prefered the previous Mustang to the current one, but I don't think its ugly.

 

It's certainly not the ugliest mustang ever, but it isn't very pretty either. I've not really been a fan of modern mustangs regardless. Ever since 2005 the styling has been crap imo.

 

Really? That particular generation of Mustang is one of my favorites.
Granted, you can't beat the original Mach 1 and the Boss 302/429.

 

That wasn't a mustang if it doesnt have power then, even the v6 model has plenty of power (like, 300 something hp)

The gt500 has around 600 something horsepower

And the 2016 mustang is going to supposedly have a model with more power then the charger hellcat as well
