Re: What does everone have under the hood? 1.8 L VVT-i 4 cyl and electric motor producing 134 horsepower paired to a CVT transmission... (Lexus CT200h) So impressive ikr, but it does get like 5.4MPG on the upside. On the polar opposite, we have a 2003 Toyota Sequoia with a 4.7 L i-force V8 producing about 240HP and gets about 16-20MPG... we are thinking of trading it in for a Scion FR-S in the next coming years possibly.

I was reading through the thread, and I decided to run outside, into the harsh November weather and take some pictures. I apologize for the bad quality in advance, they didn't look bad on my phone, and I am not going out there again. We have had the blue ford, on the right, for years. I think it's a 94 model. I'm not sure. Anyway, It's got a 14 horse 1 cylinder kohler under the hood. The white Cub cadet, on the left, we have just had for a few months. It an 05 model, and it's got an 18 horse kohler in it. It's also shaft drive, and it's got a 42 inch mower deck on it, which is a whopping 4 inches bigger than the ford's, but really, that adds up quickly. I don't think you can tell, but I've got the bagger on it because I was chipping up leaves in some guy's yard.

Somehow, the guy that we bought the cub cadet from broke one of the front headlights like a day before we went to pick it up, and since it's all one peice, that whole piece of plastic on the front had to be replaced. The guy knocked a hundred bucks off the price(a hefty 1000 bucks) and gave us a new headlight thing for free. Take it from me, replacing that thing was a bitch. I had to take the whole hood off, remove a metal cage thing that held it into place, then very forcibly tear the old headlight thing from its spot. And to begin with, the new headlight thing was very difficult to get in there, and even after it was in place, the screws didn't line up perfectly, and I didn't want to be too heavy handed with it, because, if i broke it, I'd be footing the bill. That thing's 96 bucks straight from the dealer. Finally, after a whole sunday afternoon's worth of work (a nap in the middle, of course) I got the freaking thing into place and got the hood back on. Oh, and while I'm at it, broke part of the ford's hood off today because I was pulling at it wrong and it just snapped off. I glued it back, but it's not perfect. I need to lay down.

Re: What does everone have under the hood? Car hood? VQ35 3.5L V6 with 265 hp and 245 lb-ft of torque. Computer hood? Core i7-3820, 8GB DDR3 RAM, and a GTX 580 on Windows 7 x64. 500 GB C drive, 750 GB D drive, and 1 TB E and F drives.
Re: What does everone have under the hood? Yesterday I was mowing and trying not to hit the well but the tire hit the house and bent the bar that keeps the wheels going the same way. Took it off and a few sacks with a sledgehammer later, it was good as new.

You say you're 'learning to drive' so I assume those two Saabs belong to your dad? They are great cars if you can foot the repair bills. Is your wagon in manual or automatic?
