Re: What does everone have under the hood? I drive a Manual...and yes that 1997 Saab is my mums but my entire family can drive it and is so forgiving, the 2002 Saab is my dads and my mum and little bro drive it...and its the more hardcore Europe chewing up the miles car I mean work the gearbox right you can really shift its a beauty my dad had a 1999 Saab 9-5 Estate Hot Turbo before that and he targeted 100,000 miles in 3 years but he only made 72,000 miles on it but at that time he was part of Compaq/HP and they did all the servicing on it and he drive that car by the scruff of the neck but when it settled down it was docile and quiet...until you go the turbo to wake up and cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war then it would beat most supercars on the Motorway xD
Re: What does everone have under the hood? Since I made the post I might as well add my own car in. 2007 Chevy Aveo5 ls 1.6L inline 4 FWD Has aftermarket wheels and a decent stock spoiler, but the automatic transmission always revs too high when switching from 3rd to 4th. Repainting it matte white with bits of red in the summer, throwing on new rims (white with red trim) and a roofrack, and probably moving the spare to the back to double trunk space (like on a rear wheel rack, or maybe even trophy truck style.)
Re: What does everone have under the hood? On the bright side. I've finally torn the head off my 5MGE and am driving it to the shop today to be resurfaced. This and a gasket set later the car can be put back together. The down side. I'll be at least $100 poorer after this. The upside though, is that the car saves me at least $100 in fuel costs each month. The offer still stands for 2 ridiculously high priced PS4 consoles. I'd much rather have a newer pc than those.
Re: What does everone have under the hood? For a car, my dad has a '04 Maxima similar to Gabesters (3.5L V6, 6 speed, etc) and I'm hoping to get it when I get a licence because it has over 160k miles and is starting to show reliability problems so my dad will be looking to buy a new car sometime. (His old one was a '03 Saab 9-5 5-speed turbo wagon that got crushed by a tree in that massive blizzard New England got a few years back)

Re: What does everone have under the hood? Seeing what everyone else has, this might be funny to some. I'm working with some dated equipment by others standards. Desktop: Win XP SP3 Intel Core2 Quad: Q6600 @2.4 3G Ram 750W PS 9800GT OC @800MHZ Core 1200MHZ Mem clock. Average load temp: 165F Average game frame rate, 30-100FPS Out of 61 games installed, there's maybe 2 or 3 I can't play on max settings. The computer was purchased years ago by my girlfriends dad, I dropped in a much better power supply, a graphics card and frankensteined the case into a heat expelling air flow monster.
Re: What does everone have under the hood? How do you like that combination for this game/others? I'm looking at nearly the same and was wondering if you are satisfied with the 770 for recording or if you would of liked the 780 for the price.
Re: What does everone have under the hood? 383 Chrysler w/ 440 heads, plum crazy camshaft, one hell of a thermopuke (thermaquad) carb, windage tray, AND SOME MOTHERFUCKING STACKS
Re: What does everone have under the hood? hello the gpu does not really dictate fps while recording games. recording a game uses your CPU to encode the video you are recording real-time. this stress on the cpu will cause a lot of FPS loss usually. however, nvidia has recently released their shadowplay technology. nvidia GPU's newer than the gtx 650 come with dedicated hardware for h264 encoding while you play. this means you get almost zero FPS loss, even while recording 1080p/60fps. i use it, and it is amazing. just thought i'd chime in. but for the topic, my computer: i5 4670k gtx 760
Re: What does everone have under the hood? Sounds good then. I'll just plan on the 770 for now and see what I can afford later.

Re: What does everone have under the hood? Ha, I went on to talk to an old friend, less then 500 people in the main worlds, poor old RS is dead (and a little bit of me.) - - - Updated - - - I feel that I know what you mean by that, this thing loves being serviced better than it does driving.
