Re: What does everone have under the hood? yeah well I am gonna earn that computer my current PC cost me back in 2008 £600 but due to a new motherboard and RAM and PSU its running about £900 now but yeah I will earn that cash and I will build Leonidas I, no game on this planet will ever max this beast out! it is to designed to run games at 1440p or higher...I am aiming at a 4K Gaming machine and I think that is it and I know about the 7970 but I dont want my machine sounding like 4 huge turbine engines running at Take off Speed....
Re: What does everone have under the hood? So you just slapped a list together? I don't see the point of this post if you don't own it. Besides you could spend less of this fake money and still get the same performance; Swap the 4 Titans for 3 780s or R9 290X's. When overclocked both these will best the Titan for much less $. That right there saves about $1500. Next go for a 4930K and not the X. No point in paying 500$ more for a few mhz and some cache. The case is subjective to the persons taste, myself for an 'Ultimate' build I'd go with a Corsair 750D/900D. For the monitors you could go with 3 1600p Korean panels and save 300$ each. And ditch that CLC on the cpu. Total savings would be roughly 3100$, subtract a good 6-700$ for a kick ass custom loop. That is what I would do if I had said budget.

Re: What does everone have under the hood? I didn't change the PSU as Lepa sources from quality OEM's. Nothing wrong with their products, he could have done with MUCH less wattage but other than that its fine. 1000w would easily run this rig. Seasonic 1000-Platinum would be perfect.

Re: What does everone have under the hood? AX1200i wouldn't be better because you don't need a higher wattage PSU. SeaSonic is the OEM for many a unit sold by Corsair and other vendors.

Re: What does everone have under the hood? 4 way SLI scales terribly and isn't really supported by many games, its common sense really. You can't have 'banks' or 'pairs' of cards in SLI, doesn't work that way.

Re: What does everone have under the hood? And so you guys know I went for a 1600W PSU because in total those 4 titans requre about 300W each so 1200W at max load I always count in a major factor of safety...
Re: What does everone have under the hood? I would much rather spend seven thousand bucks on a car or something. I need a new computer, and I'm looking to keep it under a thousand. While, at the same time, saving up for a car. So yeah, I'm probably stuck playing gridmap with one car just to have playable fps for a while.
