What happen with Ferrari mods?

If anyone gets confused at me saying “raw furi”at one point, then me saying this on this thread is probably a good enough explanation of that.

 

same I think that Ferrari doesnt like to see their cars on a game that's considered by many people as a crash simulator

 

yeah, but what happend was a bit extreme, automation cars have in no way realistic crash physics

 

But it's so on brand for them if you do literally anything they don't like they get all mad and pissy at you even if you're just one person. A DJ, DeadMau5, had a Ferrari called the Purrari, and it was a 458 wrapped in Nyan cat with a Nyan cat logo, and Ferrari served the guy with a lawsuit because he modified his car after purchasing it in full. It's ridiculous. So it's really no surprise to me that they'd go after every modder who even dared make one of their vehicles into a mod. I sometimes wonder who gets paid to wander around the internet looking for every single instance of Ferrari's brand being used in some other way than they intended, because no other manufacturers really seem to care.

It's not even just Ferrari tho. It's also Porsche and Rolls Royce and even Bentley from what I've heard. Had an uncle who recently tried to buy a 911 GT3 RS, they turned him down saying he had to buy a whole list of cars before buying the RS version of the GT3. He could still buy the GT3, but apparently until he got on his knees for the execs he just couldn't get the RS version. It's ridiculous and bizarre, but far from the only companies to do that. Rolex does as well. Makes buying literally any of their watches a lifetime goal if you don't want to go gray market. I don't think the average person sees a company as being more luxurious and up-scale just because you can't buy a certain product even if you have the money. It screams gatekeeping and it's just wrong if you ask me.

And most ferrari mods for other games are all still up so i wonder if this was just a move on beamng community.
