/instantly searches google/ Wait, Galant has a 4wd option? Why didn't I know that? Well, that means I have a cheaper alternative if I couldn't get the evo.
Yes, that's true, but the ae86 is famous for its rally heritage, initial d, and the fact that the drift king himself drove it, Keiichi Tsuchiya, of course the gt86 is the main car of the inital d sequel, mf ghost, and it´s much faster, but i don't think it will be ever popular as the OG Trueno and Levin
I'd rather have myself the underappreciated and underrated MR-2 than the overhyped AE86 that only got popular thanks to some anime.
The Midship is pretty sweet too, it is in fact one of my cars on my "To own list", i love the turbo version, and the mid engine kinda helps on it being fun to drive and also a cheap nsx alternative, i like the 1984, the 1991 version, and the group B version, (who honestly i think it would been able to surpass the t16, if group B didn't end the way it did...) but yes and no, the sw20 also became kinda more famous because of initial d third stage, when kai kogashiwa drove it, (that battle was so epic!!) and yes, i would prefer the mr-2 also, because i'ts a beautiful and sexy car with a mid mounted engine, which seems so fun and fast...
If I'm right, the base galant is fwd. 4wd was only avaiable in the top-tier model called "VR-4" which also had more powerful engine with turbochrger(s). It was used in rally before the Lancer Evo.
The Geo is not that special, let's be honest. Atleast there's more value in something like the MR-2 than a bland not-unique cheap vehicle like the Metro.
Follow your dreams, mate, they think i'm crazy because i dream of building a mr-2 222b group S replica, with twin turbo, and race it!!!! i have a thing for midships, and i was mocked by my colleagues at high school... so if you like geo's go ahead! --- Post updated ---
