I did get mine from a chinese source,could it have been fake?

Huawei P10 or 2017 Samsung Galaxy A5 ?

 

Id say see if you can get a used s7 or used a5 from samsung. You could find a used s7 for about 350-400

 

P10, it's far more durable and reliable IMO. Chinese-made smartphones, especially from Huawei and OnePlus, are decent these days.

I have the oneplus3t and its the best phone I have ever owned. Its a new phone and it does everything with a 16mp camera!

i know your budget is 400, BUT if you find a refurbished one on amazon it will be a lot cheaper I really suggest thsi phone

Pretty good phone, but with 5.5inch screen its a little too big.

Had a friend complaining how poor his phone's camera is, but he didn't have money to upgrade the phone.

Well, you know me, I'm quite creative guy and if there is opportunity for fooling around, I'm in difficulties, can't resist, so this is what I did, smartphone camera upgrade:

Nokia 3310 It's durable and has a long battery life and if you get attacked you can use it as a weapon, also with the money you save you could buy a good camera

Okay, maybe this one could be interresting for you
It's the Asus Zenphone 3 Max.
It has a good battery (4100mAh), has a ok score (36.870 in Antutu Benchmark according to KiMovil), a 13 megapixel camera and it's pretty cheap (159€)

 

Phones under 180€ are crap.

 

Maybe get the Asus Zenfone 4 Max Pro. it has 5000 mAh of battery, A good camera (16MP), Good score (43.000 in Untutu according to KiMovil) And the price is 270€.
