Has anyone ever made any fake virus popups as .vbs files? Here's a guide.

Probably some adware that completely overrode Firefox and led it to its own ad-filled browser that I got from an ETS2 mod. Had to kill it in safe mode to get rid of it ;)

I had one a long time ago that did pig sequels out of no where, it scares the crap out of you while gaming.

Oh god, that must have been either really funny or scarier than watching a horror movie when a serial killer breaks into your house!

Not my computer but the worst virus I've ever seen was a Trojan I found on a friends computer that allowed someone to steal quite a few of his files. It was designed to steal files but also left a file where it stored all the files it had stolen labeled "Crap I found on ur PC" It also slowed the PC to a crawl running it near flat out. I suspect it was harmless, just someone showing off what they can do, but being it was his business computer I told him to change all of his passwords and bank details. The computer was also infected with a crap ton of ad ware and two other less harmful Trojans, I spent a whole day deleting various malicious files and executables manually until the computer became stable and usable enough to run an antivirus, after that I ran Malwarebytes and super anti spyware to make sure everything was clean, after that I went to work removing various adware related things from the browsers and changed the home pages back to Google. This was the worst I have ever seen in over 5 years worth of fixing computers for people.

This thread is not for advertising.

@Spede3 For whatever reason I can't quote your post. On topic: How high pitched was it? :p

@Eastham Again I can't quote your post for whatever reason. OT: I was reading about a TeamViewer exploit similar to that earlier today. lol

Ha, I was about to say the same here. To be honest, the GWX app is basically adware that's a huge pain to get rid of.

Yeah, Win10 itself is a pretty good OS, but the GWX app is outraging. The only way to really get rid of it is by installing Win10.
Btw, by the end of next month, the cost-free upgrade will end. Good for everyone who wants to get rid of GWX.

try this (if you are running windows 7, when you restart your pc it will go through check-disk as it thinks this is a virus, when it isn't

download this an it wil get rid of the tray icon:
    https://www.grc.com/never10.htm

it will make it dormant and you will never be pestated by this crap again

Or uninstall KB3035583 and hide the update from Windows Update.

It was horrifying, I almost made a mess in my pants a few times from it, the screen out of no where went black and had a accompanying pig squeal. It was awful during the night when the only light is from your screen. Also it was more a deathcore pig squeal than actual pig one iirc.

I go to install pirated American Truck Simulator (being my dumb self) and play it for a while. Now I arrive back on my desktop after a good 30 minutes and find "Spy sheriff" on my desktop. I freak out, use MalwareBytes and remove it. After a couple of days, I start noticing my computer becomes slower. I use MalwareBytes again and find out that "freeadvertising.exe" (Not kidding) appeared as a trojan horse. Nearly 15 copies were duplicated and executed at the same time. I try opening the .exe and nothing appears. I go to safe mode, find the directory of the virus at :C\Program Files(x86)\Stopzilla. I become very mad, delete the whole file. Probably the worst ive had.

That. I need that for a cheap horror movie. You could get rich with that.
No seriously, that'd be more terrifying than reading "It" past midnight with the window open. No seriously (again), it makes you afraid of clowns.

I once had a Trojan on my old pc (which i do still have, except with a new install of windows) which every time you booted up it would say that "Your PC doesn't have genuine windows" and being the dumb person i am, I put in my product code from the side which it then made invalid.
