"Trusted sources" do you know what does that mean? I don't think that a repository of broken, stolen, meshslaps, low quality cars is a trusted source.

Anyway, I would love to see improved following features in future updates:

    - Higher resolution of the starry sky texture. Plus a comeback of the moon, there are specular reflection and light rays but no moon texture in the sky like before 0.30. Also I think that the moon light rays are too exaggerated.
    Capturedcran2024-08-02033311.jpg
Also, I've never seen a blue sky at night in the countryside and without moon. I know that a blue sky at night can occur with light pollution presence and the full moon. But in some maps like Jungle Rock Island (in the middle of Pacific Ocean), Utah (in the middle of nowhere in a canyon), Automation Test Track (in a mountainous area with a darker atmosphere), and Grid typed maps (well these are fictional maps), there's no light pollution. Maybe an option in the environment menu to turn on/off the moon (or a slider like in the world editor even if the moon doesn't show up) to get a darker night. Here's a screenshot from an old version:
    screenshot_00004.png
Street lights on at night. Currently, only Driver Training, Hirochi Raceway, Johnson Valley, Small Island and Utah supports night lights. Btw, the Utah shed lights have broken shadows.
    screenshot_2024-08-11_02-07-53.png
Night sounds (currently the sounds are the same day and night, yes if you are close to the ground you can hear crickets, but I would have liked on the East Coast for example that during the day it would be the birds singing as usual but that at night we could hear owls and crickets).

Improved headlights: see Realistic Headlights by Jfef
    https://www.beamng.com/resources/realistic-headlights.25808/

    - *Speaking of sounds, I think the maps sounds lacks of life (cars sounds, more animals sounds). Johnson Valley festival for example is silent, it's post-apocalyptic.

    - Improved sky. When comparing to the real life sky, BeamNG is not the most realistic in terms of graphics. With the world editor, you can make a better sky (which should be the default sky in the BeamNG maps).
Also I suggest two abilities for the clouds in the Environment Menu. The ability to set the Cloud Speed for every cloud layer in the map, instead of controlling only a single one. Related to this, the ability to disable all clouds layers in the map with Cloud Cover, instead of just reducing the amount of clouds. See with this video how you can improve the sky:

    - Simplified water surface instead of literally the void in dynamic reflections.
    upload_2024-8-30_18-4-28.png

    - Fluid incandescent headlights - when turning on a incandescent light, there's a latency due to tungsten heating time. I twould be a nice detail to see that latency in BeamNG instead of having a non-existent delay like an LED light.

Also why not have burnt out headlights on worn out cars in career mode that you have to change, obviously if the day/night cycle is activated by default in career mode (I don't know why this isn't the case).

    - Clickable buttons on all vehicles. The Aurata, the Scintilla and the T-Series (and maybe a few ones) do have clickables buttons (however the Aurata does not have a button for the hazard lights o_O). But we see that more and more modded cars have clickable buttons, so I don't know why vanilla vehicles wouldn't benefit from them (we recently got opening doors on all vehicles so why?). Also, a sound when we click on a button would be nice.

And I still don't know what is this "mountain" button on the Pigeon.

    - Stop making the car fly into space when a modded car is broken or corrupted. An error warning without spawning the bugged vehicle would be cleaner.

    - Description for all map spawn points (in the map menu and in the map overview). Actually, only West Coast does have this feature.
    Capturedcran2024-08-09195737.jpg

    - I'm not sure about this one, but I think that the color saturation has been reduced in the latest versions compared to before. Was it when the new shader came out in 0.18 that you made adjustments and in 0.23 the colors were affected? If it's unintentional, it's bad because before it made the maps prettier, the plants greener, Utah looked better with sunsets and sunrises.

For the sounds, you did remove many sounds that we had a long time ago that added realism, and you took away that realism. Here's a list of sounds that were better before:

    - Towing sounds for little trailers were removed. Why?

    - *Ambiance sounds: I talked about sounds previously, but all maps received a sound update which removes all the immersion we had before. For West Coast, today we hear the sea, some frogs, and that's all. Back in the time, we could hear life in West Coast (still the sea but also birds singing, cars in the distance, the tram, honks, tree branch noises, etc...) For Jungle Rock, today we hear seagulls, crickets, 1 or 2 tropical animals, the sea and that's it. It sounds like you recorded the sounds in a classic German environment, whereas before it sounded like a real tropical jungle. We could hear several species of birds instead of very generally seagulls, and frogs. For Utah, today we hear the wind and sometimes coyotes, and that's it. Back in the time, we could hear birds in the distance (I don't know what they are but you will hear them on the video), a woodpecker, etc... For East Coast, today we hear the wind, some crickets, and that's all. Back in the time, we could hear many birds species with a light wind.

    - Menus sounds are weird, I think it doesn't fit with the mature side of BeamNG. It sounds like a N64 game. However, the Map overview interface sounds are good, menus sounds could have these sounds. I also remember the old ones before 0.24, bringing them back could avoid having the same sounds on both interfaces. It would also be nice to have like a sound of a car starting when you launch a map.

    - Quick horn, to greet someone for example. We could honk quickly, but today even if you honk quickly it still makes a long honk.

    - Crash sounds. Hope one day it will sound like real crash noises which will be more violent. I have a suggestion for the moment: better glass breaking/exploding sounds. Once again, back in the time glass breaking sounds were more intense and more audible. Today we usually hear the windshield just shatter, but we don't hear a long sound of pieces of glass bouncing on the ground like before.

    - Pass-by whooshes. When 0.17 was released, when you passed a pole or a tree at high speed, you could hear a whoosh like in real life. Again, why did you remove this touch of realism? Even if it was experimental, it already added a superb immersion with headphones. If it is reintroduced one day, it would be cool to also have the fact that when you drive on a road with near buildings on each side (like in an alley in Fastello on Italy), since the sound is reflected very quickly you can hear your vehicle much louder (like in a tunnel)

    - You like attention to details in your game. Imagine if we're near a house, we can hear some people talking. It's stupid you're going to tell me. Yeah, but again you did remove some existing stupid details in BeamNG. For example, water waves sound. It's a very small detail, but still an attention to detail.

    - Engine sounds seemed better before, I would even say that's an affirmation. It sounds like that now, engine sounds are muffled, have missing basses/pitch. Being near the engine we could hear the mechanics working much more, while now this is the exact same sound more or less loud. For example, the Sunburst's engine sound seems muffled. Another example, the old flat 4 sound of the SBR4 was much more realistic and enjoyable than now (the actual one isn't bad but I preferred the old one). Listen carefully.

Thats my whole point. Modders are wanting money for garbage mods, and its getting out of control. I would pay for mods if they were worth it, but the ones I paid for in the past either get abandoned or the developer vomits endless exuses on why it doesnt work right... or "its beta, and is a WIP". Beam charged us once and yes things sometimes dont work. These patreon people are contunually charging for sub par work.
As far as real cars are concerned... most are illeagal, and beam is taking a risk allowing them in the game. I can gaurantee you that not a single mod that is a real car has licensing rights.

You wont win this one with me.

And you didn't see on the Spealer patreon, it's a mess. You pay 8€ per month for "clickbait" maps that you see in the BeamNG shorts and in videos with millions of views (which therefore makes people believe that BeamNG is a crash-test game over and over again since 2013 while there is clearly more interesting to see on BeamNG). Yes, these videos that contains spike falls, fans, rivers, stairs, waterslides, ski jump (reminds me another map which sank into the same doom) laser blades (what?), limbo (there really is everything in fact), ramps and other maps of this type are maded by him. They look like colorful maps with kid-friendly content whereas BeamNG is the complete opposite of a water slide game.
Also why paying 8€ per months for maps with only one interest (one is for slopes, one is for stairs, one is for laser blades...). From my experience I bought Car Jump Arena 2024 for 4.50€ almost a year ago, it's a cash purchase, I don't pay these approx. 5€ each month... And you get everything in one single map, and this "everything" is not stupid, these are even things that could exist in real life to test the capabilities of certain vehicles: slopes of different degrees of angle to see which vehicle climbs the highest in first gear, an aquaplaning surface to see if the vehicle floats for a long time at high speed, stairs of different heights to test the suspensions, etc... Spealer could have been the god of BeamNG with his dev quality maps in the past, but unfortunately he decided to make it that way.

    - More engine configurations for the Soliad Wendover and the Bruckell LeGran, like we have in the Soliad Lansdale (turbocharged inline fours, more ECU options, carbureted intakes, a factory twin exit exhaust, more radiator options and other stuff).
    - A gutless naturally aspirated diesel engine for the D-Series.
    - Now that I know that we have aftermarket foglights for the Ibishu Miramar, I want aftermarket foglights for other cars as well, such as the pre-facelift LeGran and the Moonhawk.
    - Sunroof options for more cars (the BX would look sexy with a sunroof, hahaha).
    - ETK I-Series remaster.
    - Ibishu Hopper remaster.
    - Hirochi SBR remaster.
    - Rear disc brakes for the Barstow, the Bluebuck, the Moonhawk and the Miramar.
    - An entry-level stylish FWD coupé from the 90s (like the Fiat Coupé, the Toyota Paseo, the Mazda MX-3 and the Opel Tigra).

Immersive features that make the maps feel more alive would be nice, such as:

    • Visible tire tracks in dirt, sand, mud and snow. Can use parallax or tessellation to make them look like they have depth.
    • Visible dirt, mud and snow on vehicles.
    • Dynamic Weather and streaking rain and melting snow on windshield.
    • Simple water and vegetation physics.
    • Destructible objects not using soft body physics for minimal performance impact, such as rocks, signs, crates, pallets and fences.
We need more than just new vehicles. It would be awesome if the maps felt just as alive and responsive as the soft body physics do. As of right now, the maps feel extremely static. Which is what these features aim to provide. If some of them were added, I truly believe that the level of immersion would be unmatched by other racing games in the near future.
