To be honest I don't find the Wendover to be similar to the LeGran at all.

They are both FWD sedans, and that's about it. They are as similar as the Pessima and the LeGran...

While the LeGran is the american clumsy attempt at downsizing to stem the import invasion, the Wendover is more like your average wedgy/decadently futuristic boat gone FWD.

Except that their real-life counterparts (GM 82-96 A-Body and 86-91 H-Body) are basically two sizes of the same - somewhat boaty unibody transverse FWD sedans with a 3.8 V6, front MacPhersons and rear 3-link solid axle, directed towards the common denominator.

And BeamNG has been rather faithful to real-life US cars in their facsimiles.

Beamng will never have official boats, planes, helicopters, trains, bikes, spaceships and whatnot. Only automobiles. This has been confirmed by the developers.

Except that there are new vehicle devs now, one of them having planes in his portfolio.

Yes and he made a bus... Whats your point?

Its not like modelling a plane is that much different than a car.

That new devs don't need to follow Gabe's policy.

    It wasn't Gabe's policy.

Planes are quite different from cars. Just saying.

The game is about cars, not planes, boats or whatever else, that has nothing to do with gabe or a "policy". The vehicle devs just work on whatever needs done next, its up to whoever is project leader what gets done and when, the devs seem pretty fixed when it comes to "promised" cars so its highly unlikely they will just not bother finishing them when there are only two left..

Yes. If you can model a plane that well you can model just about anything.

These two are Gabe's designs. The others may have a different vision of the future, considering neither of these designs was used yet.

    When did they confirm it?

    Opinions change.

I remember that someone once asked CarlosAir in his profile (Back when we were able to add comments in profiles) about official planes and Nado replied to him saying that they are not planned.

When was "once"? Was CA already in the team? Was Gabe still there?

    That's the question.

Gabe has always been working for BeamNG since the beginning, and still is. I believe Nadeox1 said that he's working in a restricted role until his condition improves.

CarlosAir was a developer for BeamNG when that comment was posted. I do remember the comment myself and can confirm that BeamNG will not feature aircraft, boats, etc.

What I miss in BeamNG (that I love, and I bought without exitation, before Steam and in the exact moment I discovered it) are cranes, big trucks, and in general big machinery.

yeah ok, there is also the Eurocargo, but I'd love to have cranes for loading stuffs, containers etc. I don't know if has ever been considered, but this is what I'd like to be added, more than a proper "game".
