Solution to "the should this be here or not?" question would be dump it in off topic. As for the whining noise, come on isn't it obvious that the automatic choke has failed (sorry potato, but I couldnt help it)
Really? People don't know what they're talking about.. The reason is obviously the blinker fluid is low which means the bulb bearings aren't getting any lubrication which is causing the problem.
quality blinker fluid can be hard to find thease days, but thease guy alwase seem to have a few jugs in stock. remember EVERY 150,000 blinks! http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?mai...9&products_id=22&zenid=swNOYXxRpz1uHP7i93QSM0 Maby his oil is dirty. you know modern synthetic oil is very expensive, so why run the risk of getting it dirty by running it through your engine block? KaleCoAuto sells an oil bypass kit comes with everything to run the oil around your motor block where it will do more good. The oil runs cooler, and as a result, there may even be horsepower gains!
nope, all wrong, its so obvious it's the door knob fluid, if you've already checked it, then possibly the starter fluid (why does starter fluid sound like a real thing?)
Yeah I think that's the problem. When me and my dad checked it out, we could hear the noise coming from the rear of the engine, by the power steering. But then my dad said it sounds like it's coming from the actual engine block. But then he said he wasn't sure. I'm probably going in for a tune up next week to see where everything stands, and see how much my A/C is going to be to fix. Also, this thread is for anybody who has a car problem. So if you have one, post it here!
Solution: don't fix it. A car doesn't have any character unless something (preferably non essential) is broken.
To me, air conditioning is essential. Here is a Wisconsin saying: "The more brutal the winter, the more brutal the summer". The past summers have been like 70's-80's here. My old Suburban did not have A/C. One summer we had a drought. I had to drive it every day, and I would sweat like I was in a sauna. Sometimes I would call my friends to come and get me because their car had A/C and mine didn't. I hated showing up places all sweaty. So to me, this is essential. There are a few other smaller broken things on my car that give it characteristics.
No aircon in either of my cars so far, although in UK weather I have managed to get away with the old wind down window instead
I think Stop and Shop has cheap ACs for like $100. Spend maybe $40-80 for a decent inverter, stick a window AC in the window, and bam.
You could save a ton of money by fixing it yourself, as well as doing the tune up yourself. I can change spark plugs/spark plug wires/etc on my own and I'm 13.
70s-80s in summer? and you need ac??? it gets over 100 degerees here in tx, people walk out of their house and spontaneously combust! and you just watch and feel glad it wasent you! its just the way of life around here lol. seriously tho, as much as acs cost to fix I don't see the point, even here at 105 dregrees.
Come to think of it, 70-80F is 21.1 to 26.7C, it did get hotter than that in the UK last summer yet I lived without AC even installed.
here is a problem i'm having with my car. Make: Suzuki Model: Aerio SX Year: 2003 Transmission: Automatic FWD when I have it shifted into park and i push the brake, it makes a clicking noise, and when i have my hand on the shifter i feel it in the shifter when i clicks. my grandpa says not to worry about it but thats just not normal.
Don't worry about it. The "click" is the car unlocking the gear shifter so it can move. In automatic transmissions, you need the brake down in order to unlock the gear shifter.
You are damn right. The humidity makes you sweat like crazy, which makes you miserable. I've been in New Orleans in summer and that was a more dry heat. I actually enjoyed it.
