I thought so too, until I started using it. It's about at the limit of what I'd like size wise, but I've certainly gotten used to it, and love the display overall. I personally think anything more than 1080p is quite silly on a phone...
Well, looks like I spoke too soon... My N4 exploded (literally...!) a few days ago. And got replaced right away by a white 5X 32GB. R.I.P N4.

One thing I've noticed about my Moto G4 is that I probably won't break the screen without some serious abuse. I have dropped it, a significant number of times, up to about 5 feet. The reason why is rather simple, and yet really ingenious. The metal that goes all the way around the phone actually goes above the glass on the front, about half a millimeter, enough to protect it in falls. So that, rather than landing on the glass and shattering, it lands in the metal lip, which absorbs and redirects the force through the rest of the phone. I'll see about getting a photo of it later. Now, I have had two issues with the phone. Once, it turned off (Android probably crashed) while changing, and wouldn't turn back on. I had to manually make it boot, but it has been working fine since. The other issue is an odd one. The screen has an issue with what I'm calling ghosting. It's like screen burn, but it only takes a couple minutes to "burn" and goes away after a few minutes. It's especially noticeable around the edges, and after switching from an app that has white around the edges to one that is darker. Annoyingly, it's almost always visible on the notification bar, especially with the time when the bar is dark. I'll try taking a photo of this issue as well. Other than the "ghosting" issue, I have no complaints with this phone. And with it costing only about $200 USD, I find that it is an incredibly good value.
--- Post updated --- I switched the battery from Lithium Ion to Lithium Iron Phosphate for the sake of safety.
But do you risk it exploding during charge or while you are speaking. They simply should be returned, they even give upgraded version for free.
Except you didn't because it's a non user replaceable battery connected to a charge circuit which doesnt support LiFePo and is therefore actually more dangerous. --- Post updated --- Only the note explodes, not the edge or plain s7
