It's Singapore, everything is expensive in Singapore, especially cars which they have extremely high taxes.

 

And that's relatively "cheap"??

Singapore is one of the places with the highest GDP per capita in the world, plus the fact that Singapore is extremely crowded thus pushing for less cars on the road due to the density, the vehicle taxes are among the highest in the world.

 

In Singapore, 98k SGD/ 72K USD for a brand-new car is a massive unskippable deal here, As for comparison, a new E200 AMG is 433K SGD, 315K USD. Also, all cars are only road-legal for 10 years since purchase, although extendable, and the price to do so sits at about 70K USD for another 10 years now.
