15th October 2013 is when I got it in the 0.3.0.5 build days, I know there are members who date back to the 2012 build days but I got it a year later after finding it via the Automation forum!
I was a Rigs of Rods fan from the first hour and made a 2048x2048 map with four (!) assets for it. It was poor but mega fun. Then BeamNG came and I played the tech demo a bit. I lost it out of sight for bout 10 years. When my interest turned more to vehicle simulation again and my hardware was good enough, I finally bought the game in June 2023. Making (big) maps is a incredible huge task and I am just working every day on my projects. To make a coarse time calculation: 16months * 30days * ~6h. My BeamNG play/work time must be about 2000 hours now. But it's gonna be much more for sure!
Why would you have (supposedly) made your old account in 2012 if you got the game at the very end of 2013?
I didn’t have enough money so i had a job and it was hard but i got what I wanted. Also in 2012 the game didn’t exist yet so i went on the forum chilling.
Yeah, I don't exactly believe his story. Even if he is a non-native English speaker, I feel like your English would still be pretty good if you were 27.
Honestly, You, ferrettank, TheAdmiester and Nadeox1 are some of the few active members from the old Rigs of Rods community. Obviously LJFHutch and tdev are around still. gabester hasn't been active on the forum for almost two years.
I first started playing in 2014 but I bought it in 2019 lol I don't know how to verify that but I remember wayy back then there was a free demo on the website, right? When was that?
I don't know... I think I bought the game in 2021. By the way, I found this game from a German Youtuber called A*****l. The A*****l is not a swear word by the way, that's just a Youtuber whose name I don't want to mention!
I first played the game starting in 2016 in version 0.7.0.2. And then I bought the game on November 1, 2020 in version 0.20, after I created my Steam account.
There’s more from RoR way back when that still play, just not active here. I still talk/play with a couple of them regularly.
