    I have a feeling I'm dealing with a lier. 200+ on a low-end, integrated gpu?

Anyways, he was on a 4k monitor, 2600p. So 350 fps was a little bit of a surprise.

I have to agree something by logoster doesnt add up...I mean there is NO PC on the planet that can get 350fps at 4k resolution hell there is NO graphics card that can do that...yet...

    Bullshit

    EDIT:
Just for reference. On an i3-3217U running at 1.8ghz on a 1366*768 display, minecraft fullscreen mode, VSync off, Advanced OpenGL Off, far render, fancy graphics, smooth lighting maxed, clouds and particles on, performance balanced (default, I leave it, never seemed to make any difference when I used to try changing it, havent tried on this laptop though) and field of view 90, 40-50 FPS occasionally dropping to about 25 and laptop cooling fan screaming at me, VSync makes the fan shut up and locks nicely to 30. Actually that result did pleasantly surprise me, HD4000 has come along way from the intel GMA in my old laptop :p

On my desktop I was usually 100-150 although I havent played minecraft on it since 1.4 or maybe 1.5.

    EDIT2:
lol, while writing the above it appears I died of hunger in minecraft

I would expect something around 30fps at 4k resolution NOT 350fps..but there is one major snag...there is no graphics card on this planet that can drive a 4k screen as of yet...sorry might have just repeated myself like an idiot again..

I dunno. One misconception is that 4k uses the same nomenclature as 1080p in the number being the height of the video, when in reality 4k is a 4000 pixel horizontal resolution, or in reality a 4k 16:9 monitor is 3840x2160 pixels compared with 1920*1080p.

    3840 * 2160 = 8294400
    1920 * 1080 = 2082240

Exactly 4 times as many pixels.

Stands to reason that a lower end game running entirely uncapped and with SLI support *might* eek it out of 4 way SLI'ed 780Ti or Titan cards, provided the game can run without resolution restrictions and via SLI. The scaling probably isn't linear, depends on render method I guess, but spinning cube demo's can probably do it :p

Some GPU's can indeed output in 4k resolutions. All NVidia 600 and 700 cards can output in 4k resolutions on displayport at 60Hz. HDMI can cope with 4k at 30Hz but I dont think NVidia support this at all (apparently they will be supporting 4k on HDMI 2.0 though when they release HDMI 2.0 cards), haven't checked for AMD. However this is 60Hz only, so you might be able to render 350fps but won't be able to display it. To my knowledge the only 4k displays sold on the market are 30Hz (seriously, although some of the 30Hz ones can display 1080p at 60Hz, they just wont display native 4k higher than 30) and 60Hz

SLI or crossfire will be key.

oh right I mean yeah your maths does add up I mean the resolution and possibly but you would have to run the cards at superclocked speed to just get 350fps or higher...but I dont see ANY way of doing it...

Like SixSixSevenSeven said, a lot of cards can drive a 4k display. Even the PS4 and Xbox One have 4k support.

I give it to you there yes but who has the time and effort to duplicate a PS4 or Xbox One system...oh wait a load of people but to get that setup running at that speed I mean I donno..

Untrue. A basic 2D game could easily run at 350fps and 4K, considering if it's well optimised, it'll be far from intensive.

Even something 3D like Quake could run at 350fps and 4K, I bet.

well what you said made it sound that BeamNG could run at that speed at 4K resolution...which it cannot its very processor intensive...so think about it..

Resolution increases load on the GPU, not the CPU.

oh right...so what are you running...4 GTX Titans in SLI to drive that 4K resolution?

No, my rig is far more modest than that, and if I was going for that much power, Titans are awful in terms of price/performance.

Just saw this post. What the heck? My dying 7770 can handle video playback at 4k, 290x's can give playable frames near maxed out at 4k, I'm sure a 7970 or 780 could handle 4k at medium.

But I think the point was "what can run BeamNG at 4k... at 350 FPS?".

says the bullshit speaker, the intel hd 2000 can get 200+ fps, so the intel hd 2500 most certainly will also be able to:

also, if your to lazy to click those links:

    EDIT:

laptop, really? of course you got crap fps, the laptop version of gpu's are ALWAYS, less powerful then the desktop version of gpu's, integreated, OR NOT

    - - - Updated - - -

EDIT2: THIS IS MINECRAFT PEOPLE, COME ON, MINE-CRAFT, not gta iv, or saints row 3, or Watch Dogs, this is MINECRAFT, the gpu litterally has to render like, 20 pixels

I have no idea how they're getting that. My old 330m can't even get close to that.
