Why was my "Bruckell Legran, but it's a russian mod" inappropriate?

So, wait, "Russian" is deemed offensive while "Gay" as a derogative term to describe something shoddy isn't...?

Textbook case of double standards...

 

"Bruckell LeGran but it's from a sketchy third-party site" (not entirely my idea)
"Bruckell LeGran but it's a 10 minute jbeam slap"
"Bruckell LeGran but the download contains a virus"

 

While I agree to a certain extent... you could have simply renamed the thread, sent him a request for changes or whatever. By the way, it's hardly a generalization: there's a thriving russian community of modders who are known to simply slap good-looking meshes on unedited Jbeams. It's not really insulting or offensive, it's a simple observation.

And, while we're at it, see the thread linked above. That's way more offensive IMO, both for the title (you might have missed the "gay" in there) and its content, clearly aimed at mocking some unexperienced modders on our forum (a Lamborghini, what a coincidence!), while also being phrased to satire some illiterate younger/foreign users.

Why did that thing stay for so long while LeStige or the "Russian" LeGran were nuked in less than 24 hours?

Kinda sad that joke mods get deleted, especially when they are actually made better than the majority of "engine swap" and config mods. Why are there other joke mods allowed, such as the Busfag and Kerr, but not le stige or the Lamborgayni? Would be nice to actually have a reason for them to be deleted instead of this, which I got:

Hardly professional, especially considering there was nothing offensive about the mod whatsoever. Why delete a harmless mod and not delete the Vulgar Messages mod? I cannot fathom what is going on.

 

What exactly was that le stige thing?

I even removed all 3 pixels of the Alpinestars logo to avoid copyright

 

Then there is no reason why it should have gotten deleted then

 

Maybe you should add a few extra sufaces so it looks like a cardboard cut-out rather than just a flat plane... and then get in touch with the one who made the D15 Technical mod to see if you can get him to make some sidearms for the invisible driver... catchin' my brain waves yet?

 

Meh, a flat plane with a stig on it took less effort than the Aventadope or the LeGran GM JBeam swap did in the eyes of the moderators I think...

I thought you could put any mod on the forums as long as it’s not offensive? Like the Mynewvehicle I think by keys got deleted because it basically a jbeamed bush with no textures.

 

But if that logic was applied to every mod then there would be no more of the broken "engine" swaps and config packs that take 5 minutes. Either do it to all of them or don't.

 

Considering that around 80% of all forum users can’t even make that (myself included ) I would say that’s pretty good.

 

Can I get a copy of that?
