I learned this the hard way too, I spent $800 on a prebuilt HP envy 1455 ( the only thing that was good about it was the I7-3770K, it had a S*** GPU).. bought a new GPU (380X) last December, and I just rebuilt it from ground zero a few days ago (new case/mobo etc)... The prebuilt HP was a waste of time and money I shoulda built it from scratch from the beginning.

How shall I say this to you...Your CPU is 2 years older than mine, it has 6 cores while mine has 8 cores with Hyperthreading to take it to 16 Threads, while you have No HT on you have 6 threads, My CPU out performs yours in every way....so your statement that your AMD FX6300 out performs an Intel 5960X is utterly invalid, mine is clocked 500Mhz lower but that doesnt mean its slower its a whole lot faster...due to the 10 more threads I have over yours....

    Point made....

    5960X is better than a FX6300

Thats not a proper overclock and I dont trust pieces of software that you can download and states that will increase GHz thats not how its done, and to your second point that processor you have will hold you back...

Also heres evidence to back up my claim in #66

    http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-5960X-vs-AMD-FX-6300

read it and then accept the 5960X is far superior to your FX 6300!

Damn guys, you have a lot of patience. Especially @RobertGracie .

If I were you, @Morgiman I would buy
    • A new motherboard.
    • A Intel i5 within your price range.
    • New power supply (within price range, but don't cheap out).
    • A GTX 950 or 960 whatever is within your price range.

Throwing this out there, my ASUS AMD 380X is serving me well, its supposed to be a card to fill the gap between a 960-970 GTX, good price for what its is.

I wasn't being sarcastic. I'm saying you have a lot of patience (good). Could you clean up your post? I can't quite understand what your saying.

Yes it`s s**t and I kinda regret getting it. I like the case i`ve got! Should I buy the same case and build one myself or rebuild the one i`ve got?

He definitely needs to switch from AMD to Intel then hes sorted as well as getting a decent GTX card maybe a low end GTX960 that should do nicely :)

Yes I am thinking about the cost!
