Will Beamng have actual "engines"?

So a realistic engine has been in the works since 2012 yikes. maybe we'll see this around 2018?

 

While you are completely right about pretty much everything here, I would imagine simple things like spark plugs going bad or air filters getting dirty and needing replaced or goofy things like that will probably be left out of the game. Mostly because (as you said) it would end up just getting annoying.

Honestly I cant think of anything that summed up this problem better then this video right here (you can start it at 11:10 for the point I feel is needed here, or just watch the whole thing cause its a good video anyways)
