I was wondering if changing the stiffness of the beams would have any impact on the performance? Because usually in baked soft body simulations, it will. I am aware that the stiffness is accurate to the real world. It is mostly a question for understanding the physics engine. Also how do you do it?
From a logic standpoint the n/b system should not gain/ drop fps from the rigidity of beams. Its the number of nodes/ beams that cause a drop in fps. To adjust the stiffness you should open the jbeam file and adjust the properties. But this will be difficult to do because the values are defined multiple times in 1 file to adjust how strong each part of the car is and will likely be reset when an update comes out. It is easy to do if you have notepad++. Just open all Jbeam files, go to the value you wanna change, mark it, copy it. Find a function called ''Replace'', there you can replace all the values in all the opened files with a press of a button, then you can press 'save all'.
