No, you see, Grandma was confused by the amount of options so they had to cut back and put the stuff that people actually care about in a submenu

Very annoying. I hate how you're forced to use the new UI. I'd much prefer to keep the Windows 10 UI.

    run cmd as admin
    type: reg.exe add "HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2}\InprocServer32" /f /ve
    restart windows
bam, less clicks, like in windows 10
that removes that annoying right click menu, replacing it with the windows 10 one

WHAT! No way! If you don't mind (and use 11), could you show the difference? I don't currently have access to a win. 11 PC.

start menu is still windows 11, but that annoying windows 11 right click menu is reverted back to 10 after that command.
I don't use start menu much so it's not a big deal for me, not sure about your case.

Holy crap, it's basically 10. That resolves the problems I had with 11. Does beam have any issues running on 11 that 10 wouldn't have? If not, 11 wins 100%, and I'll give the 11 PC I occasionally borrow another shot.

Love the background pic btw, forgot how good wreckfest looked.

I've run BeamNG on both 10 & 11, I haven't noticed anything different in game play between the 2.

Also, if you're looking for a start menu replacement, Open Shell works well.

Sweet, I may grab it on my PC this weekend then! I just remember right after people started getting 11, they started to have issues with beam. May just be a coincidence though.

lets say that you wanted the original right click menu after using this command. Is it possible to do that?

    you mean to revert it?
    try this:
    reg.exe delete "HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2}" /f

I run Windows 11, and the only thing I hate is the fact that they moved the start menu to the middle of the taskbar and swapped it for news, so you can open tabloids easier (who tf uses msn though).

That's pretty easy to change if your comfortable with using registry tweaks.

The stuff like user EN07Z posted. Though I keep forgetting there is also some software that can help with that as well, like Winaero Tweaker.

as a Windows 11 user, i think both 10 and 11 are equally good os's, but i just need atlas os to get rid of the bloat that the updates have
(I saw a vid on Atlas OS on Linus Tech Tips so i know it might be good but idk)
