Someday, eh? I'll keep working on my cars. I think I saw your Rammer today. That thing reminds me of Swamp Thing if you've ever seen any street racing or no prep racing. Sleeper effect.
Are you talking about that rotted Nova wagon? lol I don't think I have that kind of horsepower, I just run really short gears. Bugbear keeps taking the paint designs I used for my Rammer, so right now I'm driving an "ex-military Chevy Caprice" I have an Hotshot design that I absolutely love but the car itself sucks. lol
I run short-mid on my rocket yet it tops out at 108, causing me to lose 3 positions on the back straight. My firefly is now my main racecar
I use a Muddigger as my main racer. Longest gear setup allows it to top out at around 110 with some decent acceleration.
But what do you do when you have to turn? Surely that ~3.0/10 turning stat hurts? ---- Also, Bugbear why on Earth did you remove the brake upgrading system? Some of the cars can't stop at all no matter how you proportion the brake bias.
I don't know about you guys but the top speeds of these cars seems awfully conservative. A fully titted out Sunrise Super around the Speedway 1 oval looks to visually be doing damn near 200mph. Honestly haven't put time into testing this but have seen instances where I was doing "85" and I could have sworn I was really around 150. The game in general does a fantastic job at conveying a sense of speed and I'd think it would be prudent to at least reward the player with a realistic HUD number to back it up. Hope the devs aren't overlooking this in any quests to be more "reachable".
In my opinion it really helps the handling. It's a lot easier to swing out the back and hold it there. I usually only use it on Mixed Tracks and Derbies while I use the American 5 (Whatever its name is now) on Tarmac-only tracks (except for the F1 styled tarmac track). If I ever use the Muddigger on tarmac it's because of my starting grid position, and I usually lower it all the way and stiffen it up so it handles decently enough to smash my way into first.
Might be an upcoming car in the next update, not playable yet though. [I already know that's an Beetle/Type 1.]
its probably the bugbear bug, it was an official vehicel in the files and theres a mod for it now but they could add it officially
That's what I figure after looking at it. Definitely a beetle of some sort. Bulldog is the closest in looks. Definitely a car I can see BugBear having in the game.
My original hope for the exclusive car was a 50's Chevy. Now that we have the Hotshot, my only guesses are a Beetle or some sort of open wheel hot rod dirt track racer.
Random question for anyone who knows, is that Dwight.K.Schrute guy a bot or a legit player? He drives so... mechanically. I spent most of the races with him trying to figure it out, and I'm still at a loss. He made the exact same errors the AI made, and does that weird, anti-spin slide whenever you come into contact with him. His car never really reacted to the others' and it was almost as if he was driving with the gravity turned up. lol If you raced with him you'd see what I'm talking about, it is bizarre watching him. I asked if he was a bot and... no response Of course then again 90% of the people who play Wreckfest seem to be silent. What is it with racing games and nobody ever wanting to say anything?
Was it in multiplayer or singleplayer? If it was in career then every player is a bot. If not you should check the scoreboard for any bot listings
