Xbox 360 controller won't work

I'm sorry if there's a thread like this already made. I plugged in my xbox 360 controller and it won't do anything ingame. Do i have to put in a console command, or change something in the settings? Help would be appreciated.

Is it a wired Xbox 360 controller? Because the wireless ones only come with a cable to charge them.

Also they work natively with Windows and with the game so it should immediately work.

 

It's a wired 360 controller. I'm gonna try restarting the game.



EDIT: Works now! Should have tried that first.
