Yes!!! Somebody else whom appreciates Chrono Trigger! The music alone is what makes the game stand out though the game play is just as excellent and the story impeccably beautiful and engaging! I also hold a true fondness for the original Midtown Madness. I was never too keen on MM2 but damn, what a community we had for both games. Today the community has more or less died, www.midtownhangout.org is where you'll find the remnants of the community but this forum is pretty much dead now and any new post is highly irrelevant to the game. Many friendships have been forged and endure today thanks to the forums (from BOX to D3 to MH). I highly reccomend to everybody here whether or not you're an RPG fan, to get an SNES emulator on your PC and to play through Chrono Trigger (and also an honorable mention to Zelda: Link to the Past).
The Kid in me is loudly screaming Kingdom Hearts , all of them The more mature me would propably say bioshock games , also liked all of them a lot cant really decide wich game my fave is tho. also , im kinda looking forward to GRiD Autosport
I'd really have to say the original Ratchet and Clank series. In more recent games it's been Skyrim and The Last of Us. Those are probably my favorites.
My list has already been done id just swap napoleon and rome ( because i havent played it ) for bad company 2
Gabe is so classic. lol I play MLB The Show a lot.. I had a lot of fun with Quake and Quake 2. See, kids, before cable modems, there were dial up modems that transferred data at around 2 k per sec. I'm just kiddin', but I actually did have lots of fun playing my friends in Duke Nukem and Quake. I think we had 14.4k modems by then, but they still didn't transfer any faster because the phone lines capped it. I think Quake was the first FPS to use polygons..
It was the first 3d game to have the maps preprocessed in the map editor and then have the game simply load the optimised output. Hugely popularised polygons in general, although wasn't the first game to use them (I think you are correct with it being the first FPS though). Popularised lightmaps too. Didn't invent them though. One of the first games to split up the map as a rendering optimisation, wasn't the dead first to do it but perhaps the most mainstream and many other games (even today) use the exact scheme quake used. Doom before it in the code is simulated entirely in 2d and then just rendered as 3d, that is why you never had to account for elevation (as far as the physics were concerned everything was at the same height), there was no delay in travel up steps (as in reality you hadnt gone up a step) and there were no areas of the map that overlapped (bridges, multi storey buildings). Both were massively ahead of their time. Both are awesome. Both have secured their places on my computers, both are also on my PSP.
Hmm...currently I would say its an even match between BeamNG, Minecraft and Brothers in Arms:Road to Hill 30 (from 2005). When I was a lot younger, Spyro would have been my favourite
So many games on so many consoles would be pointless to choose any one game. BeamNG is in a class by itself in my opinion. A scientific study that is way more fun than a linear piece of software on a linear console and the best godamn $20 I've ever spent on entertainment. I actually care where this thing is headed.
Oh, I forgot to add, another current favourite is a racing game called Race 07. Love that game. I play a lot of racing games by the way but this is by far my favourite.
The first game I got with the purchase of my xbox 360 was Fuel. It is an incredable open world racing game. It is on the arcade side, the AI cheats some, no cockpit nor hood view. One the plus side about 5000 square mile sand box, 70+ fun cars, trucks, buggies, cycles, etc. The cars handle mediocre and not a lot of damage. Still a beautiful large world to cruise in and some pretty intense races (100s of races). Also, day/night cycle and storms, rain, lightning, sand storms, and on some races tornatoes. I have spent 100s of hours playing it. I have also got it for the pc and immediately modded it to fix the AI and have better graphics, and get immediate access to all the cars. I cannot wait to play it with the Oculus. I think I paid $7 for Fuel for PC. I also really like Flatout 2 ($2.99) and NCG. I have a play seat and a cheap Madcatz MC2 wheel. The wheel feels perfect with Flatout 2 and pretty good with NCG. Both are great fun games. I have almost all the big name car games and do play them, but like those best. Just recently I got Beamng Drive. I have mixed feelings at this point. I really like access to the tools and mods, etc. That is huge and well worth the $15. It took me about 2 hours to get my Madcatz MC2 wheel to work, at least the pedals and steering and a few other buttons. It should not be that hard. I am still fiddling with the settings, as far as dead zone and others. I know its still ALPHA and mostly about soft physics. I do have trouble handling the cars. I dont understand with a non power car or truck, it flipping at 25 miles an hour, then rolling like 3 times and balancinig on its nose and so forth. I would really like to learn how to adjust the physics myself and maybe even tinker with the AI. I also hope eventually they put in assists for the cars. In real life you can feel the force to determine the speed, handling, braking, etc, and adjust accordingly. In a video game that is missing. The potential for Beamng Drive is great and I will be keeping a close eye on it. Edit: Someone mentioned changing the gravity helps and yes with most cars and most surfaces and does indeed help alot. Stops alot of the rolling around.
Gmod is an easy choice for me endless amounts of fun by blowing npc's to bloody smithereens with a nuke .
Well, there are many games I like. Some of my favourites are Team Fortress 2, GTA V, Gran Turismo 6, Garry's Mod, and, of course, BeamNG. Another one I specially like is Portal 2. When I played the first Portal, I loved the gameplay, but the story did seem a bit dull and poorly put together. When I played Portal 2 for the first time, I realised that it just wasn't. The game had a complex storyline, where even the co-op mode was important. Some characters are great, like GLaDOS, or absolutely hilarious like Cave Johnson. And the game also breaks with the monotony of Portal's test chambers as you go through the Aperture of the 1940's, 70's and 80's with a potato stabbed in your portal gun. I think the best part is they even managed to fit the level creator in the storyline. Considering this, I'd say Portal 2 is not just the best game Valve has ever released, but also the best game I've ever played.
I think my favourite ever has to be Fallout 3, even with all it's unpolished gameplay and bugs. Something about the in-depth world and dark atmosphere melts my brain with goodness. New Vegas was much more polished and has a survival aspect, but 3 is so much better IMO.
1. Kerbal Space Program 2. Just Cause 2 3. BeamNG.Drive 4. (Currently Empty, I'm looking for a WWII Tank Simulator/Game that isn't too expensive. War Thunder had potentional for this slot, but it was ruined with all the imbalance and stuff.)
BeamNG Automation Game GT Legends with mods Forza Sports Car GT (Loved that game fond memories) Minecraft Crackdown Crackdown 2 Solitaire Freecell I think those are my favourite games
No, no order here. BeamNG Shadow of the Colossus Whole Half-Life series War Thunder Terraria GTA IV: EFLC That about sums it up.
