Just updated my signature to include my shitty specs. Currently running a Lenovo G780 laptop with an Intel i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GHz with Intel HD Graphics 4000 and 6GB of RAM. But I'm planning to get this in the near future.

I can play on High with some lag when I spawn. I'm going to mess with the setting until I get a solid 60fps.

    My PC.

    cNopxI3.jpg

Changed all blue LEDs to red.
Cut a hole in the front for a fan.
    Wired said fan to PSU.
Cut vent in the back off for more airflow.
Plan to paint it up once there's some warmer weather, if I don't get a better case by then.

    The inside.

1.3v on that gpu is going to shorten its lifespan indefinitely. Just a heads up, try and stay under 1.25v if you want it to last.

Yeah, ik it's a risk. I'm not actually sure it's running at that though. The Sapphire OC utility says it is, but multiple HW monitors say it's at 1.25v anyway. Either way I'm hoping to upgrade within a year.

Also, (I hate to say it, being an OC guy myself) if it is running at 1.25Ghz like your sig says expect it to die within a year. My 7770 at 1300 died in under a year. :\ Apparently extreme overclocks can be dangerous even with no voltage change.

I'm not too concerned about it. I got it for a steal at $100 during black friday. I'm planning to do a full system upgrade after working some summer jobs.

Voltage ultimately kills things, not clock speed.

May I ask how my card at 1330+MHz would be dangerous then? It's running stock volts.... My 7770 never passed stock 1.2v either, but it died in under 8 months. Seems contradictory to what you said earlier.

You ran the snot out of your 7770 running folding on it for however many months.. Its a wonder it survived as long as it did at 1200. When I was speaking of your card running 1.3Ghz+ being dangerous I was saying that with the prior knowledge that you'll probably fold the crap out of it. For a dude who plays games like 3 times a week and its sat idle the rest of the time, well then no it would be fine. I am not ruling out clockspeed entirely from having a role, voltage just generally plays a fair larger one.
