well I mostly play on my laptop, but heres the specs for my gaming rig: OS: XL OS CPU: MOS Technology 6502C, 1.79 MHz GPU: Antic/GTIA RAM: 64K If you can guess what it is ill give you a cookie.
Ended up getting an EVGA GTX680 FTW+ that clocks over the Classified clocks. http://www.3dmark.com/3dmv/5001636
Liquid Cooled AMD FX-8350 @ a stable 4.35Ghz - Dangerden Maze 4 AM3+ CPU Waterblock ASUS Sabertooth 990FX Rev 1 OCZ 700W Mod Xtreme Pro 16GB Corsair XMS3 Matched 4GB pairs (2X) ASUS ATI Radeon HD-7850 2GB Crossfired and (both) clocked to 900MHz (very modest overclock) 128GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD Win7 64 Ultimate (2X) 1.5TB Seagate HDD's CoolerMaster HAF 922 case
Hp Pavillion dv5 Intel Core 2 Duo running at 2 Ghz(from around 2008) 8 gb ram Intel family chipset 4 (integrated GPU. Soon to get my external GPU going that has a Nvidia GT 610 in it) Woohoo... I can only play test map on the lowest settings.
My amazing laptop: (I may have posted here before. Don't remember.) Dell Latitude Esixfive00 Core 2 Duo 2.fivefive GHz underclocked to 1v on max speed and .9v at 1.8GHz Nvidia Quadro NVS 1six0M 2fivesixMB overclocked. Stock is five80/702 and it's running at 740/880 currently. It can go higher. 4GB DDR2 sixsixsixMHz RAM Keyboard with a not so great connection. I dunno why but sometimes buttons like five, six, control, and a few others just stop working until I reseat the keyboard. (The reason I typed some of the numbers above. I guess I could have just used the function number pad, but you know, whatever.) 1280x800 1five.4 inch screen that I bought at a local computer store since I broke the 1920x1200 somehow by tightening the hinge screws. When I get enough money I hope to get another 1920x1200 panel. fifty GB OCZ Vertex II SSD 2five0 GB HDD in the disk drive bay with an adapter Windows 7 sixty4 bit Windows XP 32 bit (Better battery life in XP than in 7) Modded cooling. I've replaced the thermal paste and added copper shims to the GPU and CPU. I've also added thermal pads to the VRAM chips so they actually make contact with the heatsink. It runs much much cooler than it did on stock.
You know, keyboards are pretty cheap.... http://www.amazon.com/V7-Standard-U...8&qid=1398324218&sr=8-2&keywords=USB+keyboard All of $8
It doesn't need a new keyboard and even if it did why would I get an external one? I just need to reseat it. It's happened like 1 or 2 other times in the years I've had it.
Well on most laptops, the keyboard comes out separate of all the other components, so removing it is about a 5 minute job. Why not just re-seat it and be done?
Eh, I dunno. I just haven't felt like doing it. The keyboard on this laptop doesn't really use a plug connector like most do. You can see the connector on the bottom that slides into the slot/plug.
Desktop, built in December 2013 to replace my MicronPC Transport GX+ (laptop) from 1999: CPU: AMD FX-8320 Black Edition overclocked to 4.3 GHz (didn't want to raise the voltage...did get to 5GHz stable but the voltage was WAY too high, stock 3.5GHz) with a Zalman CNPS9900 MAX cooler GPU: Reference Sapphire R9 290 overclocked to 1100MHz core clock and 1350 MHz memory clock with a Gelid Icy Vision rev2 aftermarket cooler (Stock is 947 core and 1250 memory, it has Elpida RAM so its not the best overclocker) RAM: 4GBx2 (8GB) DDR3 Team Vulcan 1600 MHz RAM HDD: 1TB WD Black 7200RPM Case: NZXT Source 210 with window (nice case... really cheap too...kinda wish I went with something that had mesh... I like mesh covered cases) Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD revision 4 Soundcard: Xonar DGX OS: Windows 7 x64 Ultimate Keyboard: Rosewill RK-9000BR with Cherry MX Brown Switch Mouse: Rosewill RGM-300 Monitors: Replaced blown capacitors on 2 screens, a Sceptre X22-WG 1680x1050 22" and a HANNSPREE HF229H 1680x1050 22". Those sit vertically on either side of my main monitor, an LG 23EA63 1920x1080 23" IPS monitor (my desk is tiny, the side ones have a >45 degree angle with the main screen) Webcam/Mic: PS2 (Playstation2) EyeToy SCEH-0004 with some shoddy drivers to work on a PC Power Supply: some 650 watt power supply, cant remember Some cheap ASUS DVD Reader/Writer
So i upgraded from an old laptop to a beast desktop. And the specs are: Motherboard: Asus M5 A97 R2.0 MSI R9 280X AMD FX 6350 Clocked at 3.9GHz WD 1TB Caviar Black Kingston 120GB HyperX 3K SSD Kingston HyperX 8gb DDR3 Memory Case: Cooler Master Silencio 550 And a Cooler Master 600W Power Supply. I definitely still need to add more cooling since my GPU runs super hot while i play games In the end it cost me about; 999€. the Keyboard,Mouse,Headset cost me about 300€. Oh and here's some pics of it http://imgur.com/a/5FVWU

Just paid 200$ for this laptop i think i got a steal HP Pavilion DV6 with Beats Audio 15.6in 1366x768 screen AMD A8-4500m 1.9ghz quad core cpu AMD 7640q graphics 8gb 1600mhz memory 750gb 7200 hard drive Windows 7 Home Premium(legit) Plays Minecraft well 45-60fps max settings Beamng not the best, low/normal settings on DRI is like 20-35 physics off 28-40 Demo map gets 25-38 fps physics off 55+ --- Great thing is i just got it and im trading it tomorrow for an Alienware M15x Its specs: Processor: Intel i7 1.60 ghz Storage: 240 SSD Memory: 6 GB OS: Windows 7 Ultimate Video Card: GeForce GTX 260M Screen Res: 1600x900 I think its a decent trade considering these alienwares can sell for a lot or trade for like a higher end laptop thats non alienware lol..
As far as being able to run minecraft, they've put some work into optimizing it and now it can run on almost anything. So that's not that great. Also as far as the Alienware specs, the 240GB SSD is nice (and the only thing of real value in there), but the rest is pretty poor. The GTX 260M is five years old now and is pretty slow even compared to cards older than it. It's slower than my old AMD HD4850 and even slower than the latest Intel HD 5000. What's interesting is the AMD 7640G scores higher in benchmarks than the GTX 260M
