Aah i see, well i hope you look after the car and get the rust fixed at some point. For an every day car that one hell of a stylish way to travel
don't worry I am going to take care of it. I plan on taking it to a body shop to have it looked at when I get it running.
The grandfather of the person selling the car died about 7 years ago and they parked the car. thankfully the car sat in a garage and was in a garage all its life. if I did not get the car it would have been in a derby they said a bunch of derby guys wanted the car. I do not know anything about the grandfather.
Oh, well good thing you rescued that car! it'd be sad to see such a good condition (barring the small bits of rust) old Ford wrecked for that reason. By the way i reckon you should go the carburettor way and dump the throttle body injection, i've read those could get a bit nasty when they start getting old, plus with a carb you tune it freely any way you like (and dump a quart of kerosene in it when its not running right ) but hey your car
i’m starting the hunt for my first car looking at either a 1980’s european midsize sedan, or a 1990’s-2000’s compact 2 door i want something easy to work on, modifiable, and preferably with a manual performance and mpg isn’t really an issue i’m a bit younger than driving age so it’d serve as a project, something to get running so i can drive it later
