I don't like snow either. For me it's because it can come with ice that gets on the ground and the road. Not to mention the ground gets soggy when it melts.

You shouldn't be surprised when somebody thinks you're actually from Japan.

When it's places like North Korea, people can easily figure it out that one doesn't live there. This site is probably banned there.

I'm not expecting the worst of winter to hit where I live until January. I never look forward to January, and I'm positive I'll be wishing I lived in Florida or something.

Usually I’m in the same position, laughing at people complaining that they have an inch of snow and the roads are terrible, blah blah blah. Last year, we got 14 inches in April. Overnight. Unfortunately, this year’s a brown Christmas. We hardly have an inch on the ground, strange seeing as I’m in the northern Midwest.

33 degrees Celsius today, not bad at all considering it’s been over 40 degrees during the week. Welcome to Christmas in Australia

Merry Christmas everyone! :) I hope everyone's doing fine and is doing well this season. I know I haven't been that active here on the forums lately, but I've been focused doing a lot of work on a project of mine that I hope to reveal soon ;) I've been working on expanding my modding skills, so hopefully I'm not releasing half-assed or half finished projects anymore.

I got a new set of speakers today :) Just a pair of Creative Wireless speakers, nothing fancy or anything.

At-least now I'm not using my monitor's built in speaker anymore

I haven't had a set of speakers that didn't sound like crap since like the end of 2016...? My previous best speaker was a sound bar for a TV I had under my monitor before I moved earlier this year... That thing was nuts. Quite literally I'd be keeping everyone in my house up at night. And it didn't sound all that great either...

These were a cheap but well appreciated gift :D

Spent the morning looking through Space Cadet Pinball prototypes. Found this fun window.

Negative score made my score value disappear immediately lol

Oh look youre a metrologist too (there's legitimate scientific reasoning for why global warming leads to cooler winters too but fuck arguing with those that dont understand scientific reason)

Got a nice Asus. Watch the frick out BeamNG, here I come!

I’m really super excited about this, seeing as I’ve wanted to play BeamNG for about 6 years, but have never had the opportunity. Now I do!

Nice to be back in the lower 48 — it’s warm down here, just barely had a white Christmas. I haven’t gone a day in almost a year without seeing snow.

had frost for the first time in ages (-3c), but otherwise no snow, no rain, all calm weather (like normal).

But surprisingly on christmas day, managed to go almost 6 hours with heating off, no thermostat click on during the day, oven putting some heat and well with all the family it really did help! Nice warm and cosy christmas.

Also you know your getting older/more mature when you care more about what others react to your presents compared to the presents you get. Anyway, in typical fashion, it seems as though the whole family/world just exhales on 25th come 6:30pm or so, telly is on, everyone has had their christmas dinner and pudding, and we're all just sat being stuffed watching some decent telly. Best bit about christmas imo.

Spent Christmas Day at boyfriend's parents. Met them first time on Christmas Eve but they seem to have adopted me as one of their own.

Spent Christmas day at home, Got a Logitech MX Master mouse which I have needed for some time because I was fearing I would need surgery on my right hand to correct an RSI problem I have been having over the past couple of months, BUT apart from that, had a game of Mexican train which my aunt altered the rules just in time to get her out while both time which my dad and myself would have been out next turn she blocked us from doing by going out on her turn both times, one time she screwed us over by blocking a place I was about to play from but if we had traded positions we would have been out but well thats where we sat around from her and she knew the american way to play which was a right bastard to deal with, the first time it was like 21 points we had but another time it was a titanic 94 points we had on hand and by that point I was moderately drunk, I PERMIT myself to be drunk only twice per year, 25th December and then at my annual house party I have every year but the rest of the year I am stone cold sober because I am the full time designated driver for my family

So when people ask how did your holidays go, I can reply "by listening sounds of domestic violence, sirens and skipping meals in complete isolation and solitude" pretty much perfect that is, except having to listen peoples suffer, I need to loose weight anyways and I'm not really a people person, haven't celebrated Christmas for really long time as I'm not into religion much :)

There is one thing that puzzles me though, how come time of the year that used to be known for peace and love, is today excuse to get intoxicated and beat up ones you live with? But so seems to times change and I find myself being ancient out of place in this time, but I think it is better to be ancient compared to what I hear happening around me.

not even getting together as a family? each to their own i guess.

yeah christmas imo isn't the time to get intoxicated, that is new years eve, start the year with a bang :) ive never had alcohol but i kinda understand how people would get hamered that day, and not just in general. Not a fan of casual/chronic alcoholics.

Everyone just have no families to get together with and it is bit different for us who are at extreme end of introvert scale, us being with human beings in confined space is kinda like pulling toe nails off with pliers kind of 'fun', there just is nothing that can be done to it as brain structure is fairly different.

yeah i know what you mean, i think i'm an introver sometimes, but i do flip between the two a bit, mainly introvert but sometimes i'll get thoughts as i might be missing out, but on the other end, i might be at a social gathering and something will just go click in my head and i have no more energy for it anymore, just want to go home, feels like i'm about to cry in those situations, it's like time stops, i hate it, i think it's an introvert thing.
