There’s a half built Evo 8 for sale near me for 10k OBO.

I almost want to, but at the same time it would be an overpowered Mitsu lancer.

Just don't get one in picture, that one will be a rust bucket, knowing how much salt they put on roads.

Nope it's still there, gotta find a more appropriate tool. The circlip I intend to reuse, potentially several times, testing with gradually smaller thicknesses on this side until the backlash is good. With some luck I won't need to increase the thickness on the other circlip, as the diff is already too hard to rotate as it is, so I happened to need a non-symmetric adjustment anyway.

No it just slid out of the circlip holes, just like the 3 previous attempts.

    This evening started great
Had snow on my way back from uni so it took a bit longer than usual. II was by car so I did not have the risk of getting stuck in public transport so I would not miss my dentist appointment. Came home at 18:45 to hear my father complain that going by car wasn't faster than by train(which is wrong but whatever), brushed my teeth, rushed to the dentist on my bike to arrive there at 19:15.
I had two appointments: one at 19:20 to clean them nicely and one at 19:50 for the general checkup etc. I waited until 20:00 until the dentist asked me to come in. He thought they cleaned my teeth already and was surprised that they didn't do it. So I made a new appointment to clean them and went to the turkish takeaway restaurant to find out that they were closed. So I went to the nearest supermarket that was stil open. And of course it started to hail pretty bad. Finally got home with food though.

Guess I will do some homework and scouts stuff and then vent it on some games or so.

    /rant

Spent the past few hours trying to re-learn and implement Dijkstra's algorithm, only to now realise mid implementation that Dijkstra's algorithm in its stock form might not always be able to find a valid solution to the specific problems I need it to solve. Even if a solution does actually exist. Since the maps that I am trying to traverse are more complex than those that Dijkstra's was designed to solve.

So I guess that leaves two solutions
    • Write an algorithm that can convert the map into one that Dijkstra's algorithm can solve
    • Extend Dijkstra's algorithm to work on the problem that I am facing (and not in the A* sense of speed optimisation)
I don't fancy converting the map, since that will be initially slow, and if the specific problems that it is supposed to solve aren't encountered, its time wasted. So extending the algorithm it is!

But I should probably put that to the back of my mind until I have got Dijkstra's algorithm working for maps that it should already be able to solve.

On the one hand, I am dreading the day that computers are capable of programming themselves. On the other hand, I can't wait xD

my civics teacher might give me an IBM PS/2 minus hard drive, IDK what model it is or what he's giving me. I also almost finished the body of the Ursa MT

Ooh! Do let me know what you get! I'm a sucker for old computers, especially IBM and pre-Intel Apple hardware.

Also, good luck finding a hard drive. Those Micro Channel disks are a bit rare, from what I've heard - especially if you want one that works ;) You might have a better chance at getting an MCA SCSI adapter and a SCSI disk.

Anyhow, I'm thinking of piecing my "Power Macintosh 10000" - an overclocked beige G3 tower with a 500 MHz G4 upgrade - back together sometime before winter break ends, and slapping NetBSD on that bih.

If I had an old PS/2 lying around, I would install a 386 upgrade (if necessary) and run AIX. Are you going to run DOS? Windows?

Also, here's a thing I made in Algodoo. Can you guess what it is?

    upload_2019-1-17_22-39-19.png

Hint: To start it, you run the scavenge pump for a few minutes to pressurize the crankcase (make sure the exhaust valve is closed and the piston is above the inlet!), switch on the glow plug and injector pump (not shown here), then you close the scavenge pump clutch and run the starter motor. It should rev right up to 120 RPM.

This week was (and still is) probaby the most exhausting week I've ever had. All of that because me and my teammates are getting ready for the Slavakia national finals of "4x4 Land Rover in schools" competition which will be on next tuesday. After that I might post picures of our RC car too and one day maybe make it as mod for BeamNG.;)

    same here about exhausting :p

I'm 16, 17 in July, and i honestly don't have a f*cking clue how people can survive with less than 7h of sleep, ive been running on 7 ish hours of sleep, admittedly 5h on one night :p and it's just been torture the whole time, your just so tired that you don't want to move, literally feel fatter just by binge eating, and in general just feel depressed, but damn ive got stuff to do, rest is for the weak. Well now that it's the weekend, i can finally have a ly-in (6:50 is painful :p maybe to 9 if im lucky). That probably won't materialise, what probably will is me staying up late at night recording my voice for YouTube, since it's the only time it's truly quiet at my house.

BeamNG.drive cheers me up though :)

i'm 17 and don't understand how people survive on more than 6. i usually sleep something close to 4.5 hours. don't get me wrong, i'm basically a walking zombie all morning, but if i sleep much longer then i feel even worse and it lasts all day.

Anything less than 10 is zombie all day.

I rarely get even close to that.

You guys are lucky, I have maybe gotten 4 hours of sleep in the past week. I'm not really sure how I can function right now.

So your like me... you eventually just learn to deal with it despite feeling like you want to die all the time. I would love to sleep, but I just almost never can... been like that for almost 6 years for me right now.
