I finally managed it, to get the doors working. It took me a couple of attempts, but now finally every openable part does it´s job: With this finished, all openables on the exterior are complete and so is the exterior. I still want to redo a few little things, but overall, it´s complete.
That would be interesting. This car was notorious for being very light. Pulling from the lights it would spin the front tires when swapping to second gear if you were not careful.(it happened a lot to me) So a high torque electric engine would be a fun challenge to master in game.
Am i thé only one who sees this in-game like an automation mod, even without windows texture ? --- Post updated --- Where would the battery go ? On top of the engine like the Gas tank ?
Im still working on the weight reduction, but this would lead to shaking and instable JBeam. The problem is, that the nodes need to have a certain amount of weight, to hold everything up correctly. I still need to find a solution. The battery would either replace the fuel tank in the engine bay or I will put it in the trunk. The car currently uses placeholder textures, which I took from the modding tutorial. These are basic materials, you can apply on anything. They are located in the common folder, which makes them easy to use, without needing to create extra placeholder materials. The textures are very simple, thats why I see your thoughts, but I can guarantee you, the model is 100% scratch made. I dont even have automation. Also, automation vehicles have a bit different textures.
Of course. Its missing a lot of details right now and just looks bad. I just use these textures, so I dont have to work with the infamous "no texture".
Man it’s slowly starting to build up I’m honestly impressed. Hope you can pass that exam and then go onto college (I looked it up and the arbitur is a college-entry exam)
The progress is going better, than expected. The update is basically ready, I just need, to take some fresh photos for the new first post. I´m currently a bit demotivated, which is on one site caused, by the exams, which really make my head wanna explode and on the other site... The mod is performing quite good, but I don´t really know, if it is really that good. So if any experienced modder or dev is reading this, every feedback is appreciated I want to make this as high quality as possible, but I don´t know, if I´m already on a good track or if I´m on the wrong path. So if there are some experienced modders outsite, which want, to give feedback on this mod, go ahead please! I will soon update the first post, in the hope, it might get a bit more attention, because I have the feeling, that this mod is a bit under the radar of most people.
