I mean lets be honest, people might got this on their radar, but they're not interested in such recycled clothing. I love classic cars and trabant is no exception. Wish you luck on your exam and the process of making this mod.
I know, this and I went ahead, with this "risk" in mind. Lets see, maybe it will turn out well, maybe not. I sat down and thought and will think about the future of this mod. This might take some time, but I hope in the end, it will be worth it...
Progress update! I decided, to put the update live. The future of the mod is still not 100% sure, but we´ll see, what future brings us! What I added: - Universal body - Zuber body - Pickup body - Cabrio body - working softtop for the cabrio with the help of Agent_Y - openables, specific to the openable parts (tailgate, pickup tailgate) What I fixed: - several smaller JBeam issues - some minor model issues Images: The first post is now updated with completly new and high quality screenshots, showcasing the current state and it´s features. I hope, you enjoy it! Schmitti
Looks amazing, cant wait to drive this around. It kinda looks like an automation mod because of the glass though lol (yes i know its a placeholder material)
Small realistic engine update: I added the engine data from the Trabant 601 mod, made by @AdamZ5 (if you allow me, to use it, I will credit you on the first page and you would really help me!).
you definitely canbut it needs some work when it comes to the sound, right now it's using the piccolina sound and it doesn't sound like a two-stroke at all
I know, that. I know a few youtube videos of a Trabant´s two stroke sound and there is also a mod, which adds a two stroke sound to the taz pack and from what I know (I didn´t tested it), it has a two stroke like sound. So maybe I can get the permission, for the sound or do recordings by myself.
Can shade some light on this, since I've used that TAZ 2-stroke mod a lot: Yes it does in fact have a custom 2-stroke sound, which is really good actually. Doesn't exactly sound like a Trabi (not tinny enough, was probably sampled from a car with a bigger displacement engine and higher diameter exhaust) but I'd say it'd be close enough until something better comes along. Thank you very much for all the hard work going into your mod, I've been around Trabis quite a bit IRL, so I'm really looking forward to have one in BeamNG one day!
Well, I could pitch the sound a little and tune them. If the files are not protected, but otherwise, I simply will ask the mod author, if I can get access to the files. @AdamZ5, sorry, for mentioning you, but I completly forgot, to thank you for permission. Thank you, you are making my life a lot easier, because I never worked with engine data. I will credit you on the first post right now!
I added van panels for the Universal version, which replace the rear quarterglasses and turn it into a german mail variant (kinda): This are the current variants, which built up the current stand of the mod: In the background, I´m working on something bigger, which will have a huge impact on the development of the mod
