If you read the comments and the status update on the title, you'll see it's on hold while he gradually gets it updated. The 0.39 update apparently nerfed half the code.
The 0.39 nerfed my map as well 1.5 years in the making. It's now an epileptic seizure, light flickers like crazy. I boiled it down to shadow cascade/PSSM settings but the Advanced Lighting in ScatterSky is so sparse. No numSplits or logWeight, can these be added in the items.level.json willy-nilly or is it simply obsolete?
These settings just don't exist anymore (or if they still do, they don't do anything). The shadows were completely reworked. It seems like you have a bug that happens with very long shadows, I would report this somewhere.

Yippee! My only current feedback is that I run windowed and the settings page is currently vertically larger than the game and my screen, which causes it to bounce up and down, kinda hard to use when it's doing that.
Assert failed Fatal-ISV assert failed at file: D:\jenkins\workspace\gameengine\build\gameengine\engine\graphics\backends\d3d12\d3d12GpuCrashBreadcrumbs.cpp Line: 378 Message: "The GPU crashed. No crash details were recorded. To capture them: Restart the game with '-gfx d3d12 breadcrumbs'. Reproduce the crash. Send the new crash report to an engineer." this is what it said before i can launch the game. i will try to activate breadcrumbs but that will be tomorrow. anyways thanks for the update Zeit, its kinda buggy but certain or uncertain, i cant really blame you, 0.39 is also extremely buggy for alot of people.
The D3D12 API can crash the game during startup when used with settings that were carried over from older versions. Please back up and remove current\settings\game-settings.json and try again, or use a different API.
Thanks Zeit, also I was really suprised you still updated, even with 0.39 being buggy for like the first few days after its release, nice work man, ill try that right now but I may no longer have time.
Applying the "ultra" preset seems to completely brick the game, causing gpu crashes on startup and requiring you to delete the game-settings.json, not sure if the settings within that preset are outdated or something but figured it was worth sharing.
lol, iam trying to let it run right now, and if Zeit allows it, or requests it, iam sending a whole crash report here. --- Post updated --- its also worth sharing, apparently the pipeline from the GPU to ram (i think? not sure.) crashes and the crash report doesnt even register it because its outside of commands , either that something is terribly wrong with Ultra preset, and its probably better to add a High Preset to create a middle, balanced preset that looks like Ultra but doesnt crash the game. crash reports doesnt say anything unless you add -gfx d3d12 breadcrumbs to your launch options in steam.
I believe it's the 32x anisotropic filtering, that doesn't seem to play nice with some GPU drivers. You should be getting a hotfix tomorrow. Thanks for the patience, guys
