estama said "For each of the vehicle's nodes, it calculates the full Newtonian gravity for all planets". Therefore, a black hole would accelerate each of a cars nodes at a different rate, causing spaghettification.

Interesting, that does warrant a testing of course and if it works, then it does make beautiful slowmotion video clips for sure :)

Is there a limit to the size or amount of these and if you did have loads of them would it cause lots of lag? I thought that this could maybe be used for anti-gravity/sideways driving like seen in Mario Kart 8 by having lots of small planets lining the underside of the track so that you wouldn't fall off.
This also looks really well done and a fun thing to play with, can't wait!

So it seems like this was added to the game in the latest update. Can you already access it? I've looked through some menus and didn't see it, and it doesn't really mention anything in the devblog announcement.

I wonder if there is plans to create terrain programmatically around given planet radius or maybe have way to wrap heightmap around a planet?

That would of course require heightmap size not to be power of 2.

Importing 4 000 000 polygon mesh seems to crash my BeamNG.Drive unexpectedly...

I made only 25km diameter planet, with very low polycount, to test things out, oxygen level is low at 25km from 0,0,0, but engien does run, barely, it is kinda funny, it stalls at spawning or resetting the vehicle, but starter does start the engine, then engine is not turning off anymore if pressing V

It probably is not meant for this as there are issues viewing whole thing...

Oxygen level is calculated perhaps from origin of gravity source, so near center of planet there is oxygen, but then at outer edge there is not much as it is altitude of 12.5km everywhere on planet's surface.

So to support larger planets, it would need to set oxygen calculation to start from radius of planet towards inverse of origin of planet or something like that, but then again, it might not be how I'm supposed to use the thing, but when I have limited myself to supposed :p

Not sure if this should actually be in 0.14 discussion, but it is planet things.

Gravity gun? It'll be very fun, and I think we could make cars with them.

Every BeamNG player probably lives by that- "Why Not?"
