Yeah, same here. I have not had any problem with either instance of the Kashira thus far, and actually have used it quite regularly.
It's one of the best ones but not THE best, a lot of things could be better. Definitely it's one of the most fun ones to use though.
Due to it originally being a pessima, the suspension is just... wonky asf. Not only was it not meant to be awkwardly stretched out, but the added weight make it incredibly weak. Other than that, it's good quality. Not dev by any means, but above average for sure.
Because it actually has skins. In my opinion the 210 really is one of the best mods ever, in the top 5 for sure, but sadly it has no skins (despite being skinnable, there are mod skins for it) and no race/drag parts (not like it needs them but they would be nice to have).
Not to get off topic (even though I obviously am) there was an expansion for that https://www.beamng.com/resources/satsuma-210-pack.2320/ Back on topic - honestly, I never noticed; I usually use the beater van when I drive myself since it's much more fun (for me) - in the time I've driven a stock configuration, I've never had any kind of issue with the suspension, but I probably never did anything too crazy in it. Then again, that could be Gen 1, which I don't use nearly as often as Gen 2.
That "expansion" literally adds 1 engine and some unrealistic stripped configs, I could make something like that in 1 day, while the original mod took over a year to become as good as it is now.
Apologies for the OT but I have to say... The 210 is fantastic. Still works and it was made in.. what, 2018? Other than an alignment issue which is fixed by mapping your mouse to steering, it's amazing. Feels very 1950's UK esque. Woulda put this on the discussion for it but I don't want to bump
Now, I could have sworn that one of those mods added a drag config; but maybe that was the base. And back on-topic (I do my best) - on the suspension issue They don't look the same - From L->R Pessima Gen 1 Gen 2 From Front From rear Pessima Gen 1 Gen 2 It looks like Gen 2 and the Pessima share more suspension wise, despite the fact that Gen 1 came first and the Pessima is more based on that. Which is odd; I've had no issue with the rear Gen 2 suspension ever. I don't think these were released in tandem, were they?
All of this will probably get deleted due to extreme off topic lol. The drag variants come with the Satsuma by default, that mod only adds a weaker version of the rotary engine and the stripped configs. And the thing with the Kashira is that the Gen 1 had modified Pessima suspension, and Gen 2 used to have the same, but it was updated to get it closer to the original Pessima suspension in order to add AWS back.
Thought those were with that mod. Whoops Note: Rear -> Front on all pictures But only the Gen 2 JDM had the system; Pessima AWS Gen 2 JDM AWS Gen 2 JDM same (ish) trim w/out AWS Gen 1 same (ish) trim w/out AWS Gen 1(?) Pessima same trim (as AWS Pessima) w/out AWS You may have a point; Gen 1 just looks like it's missing the little black mounting, which I find odd that Gen 2 has it, since the Gen 1(?) Pessima and Kashira overlap (but don't quite match) and the Gen 2 and the Gen 2(?) Pessima do, yet the Pessima (new) (I used LX V6 to match trim for the first picture) have nothing in common, neither does the stock suspension (not that they're that different) New Pessima LX V6 Sport w/out AWS New Pessima LX w/out AWS And they look pretty much the same. Which I find interesting that both the modmaker/Ibishu went for the weird design of Old Pessima - It's own thing Old Van - Old Pessima w/out big black bar thing New Van - Old Pessima New Pessima - It's own thing. Which is odd from the perspective of both vans having the same platform as a compact sedan, while the new sedan (which I'd expect to also share the platform of Old Pessima) doesn't. If we took the first two, it'd make more sense to have the New Van/New Pessima and Old Van/Old Pessima. I get the AWS thing, but that also raises the question - would a JDM New Pessima feature AWS? And if it did, which platform would it be built on? - since (as far as JDM market goes) Old Pessima - AWS (presumably, the game's is a US market spec, I think) Old Van - No AWS New Van - AWS New Pessima - No, not the proper platform In that case, why does a van get AWS but a premium sedan not? Just an interesting question the whole thing brings up.
