I installed a World of mods car, and my game is now broken.

I already uninstalled it and deleted the game and the game is still broken. Someone please help me with this, cuz i just wanna do silly car crash.

 

Can you please explain in what way it "broke" the game?

 

Completely delete whatever files get left over in your directory after you uninstall the game, then reinstall. Don't use mods from sites like Modland and World of Mods, their security sucks and are riddled with viruses.

 

NONE of the cars work.

i cant really screenshot it, cuz the message doesn't pop up, but i can explain it.
whenever i spawn in a car, i cant move it even when i use manual, and the steering doesn't work either.

 

What is the mod you tried to download?

 

i found out after i installed it that it was a paid mod. I think thats why it has a virus.

 

Found the same car before it was taken down on the land of mods. No issue, so it isn't the regular mod itself. Dunno about WOM though.

I was thinking maybe they added something malicious to the file only on that site.

Try erasing EVERYTHING to do with it. Then clear cache.

 

sounds like the files for the cars in game got corrupted. Go into steam and verify integrity, then launch in safe mode

Really weird. This is the worst I've ever seen this happen. Did you remove all mods?

 

Got an antivirus to run? that would be my only thought.

Try running windows defender, do a full virus scan.

 

Was the mod installed by a .exe by any chance?

 

No it was not intsalled by a .exe. it was a manual install

Modland and World Of Mods really suck, Those mods have poor quality and could be infested with viruses, Go after the official site and check through the repository and forums for some good mods.
