I've been experimenting with Blender, and I'm trying to get the D-Series model into Blender. How do I do that? Thanks in advance.

go to file/import and select .dae it should be the first one, then go into your beamng directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\content\vehicles and select the pickup folder and the .dae file should be there.

Please check the latest post date.
    This thread is from 2015.

And what is said there is still correct.
You just have to import the .dae file into Blender (Blender > File > Import > COLLADA (.dae)

Because that folder contains only .ZIP files.
Go there manually, open the .ZIP file you want, and take out the .DAE file.

Blender does not look into .ZIP files.

I put the pickup.cdae in the documents folder (where blender looks first) and it still didn't show up. i also tried putting it into blenders default location (C:/Users/default/) and it still wouldn't show up. I am unsure of what's going on here, because i put the file in blenders' default directory. please help i am very confused. I also tried opening the pickup.cdae file with blender instead of importing it and that didn't work either.

Opening a cdae won't do much for you, as it is a cached dae. Open the .dae instead.

Can you describe in details what you are doing?
What are you saving, where are you placing it, etc etc.

    1. Navigate to steam/steamapps/common/beamng.drive/content/vehicles/pickup/
    2. Find the "pickup.dae" file
    3. Copy that file and paste it into the downloads folder
    4. Double click the file
    5. Go to import>.dae>the .dae you just opened.

Blender doesn't open daes by double clicking.
